This is the opposite direction we should be heading!
I always wondered about this. What is to stop them from lying about having certain information. lol
Still, the fact that it's going to be law that they can basically lie about having it is just fucked up.
This should be the main gathering point for Occupy protestors; "The Governments should be working for the PEOPLE, not themselves or corporations!"
THis has been going on for a while now hasn't it? I didn't read the article, is this just passing a law that says it's ok for them to do it?

And, to be clear, it's just a proposal, at the moment. It hasn't actually been implemented....yet.
This is why Wikileaks needs to exist. The more they suppress what is supposed to be public information, the greater the need for free press sites.
Yes and I've just heard that wikileaks will be shut down if they don't get enough funding before the end of the year. Apparently there are many bank or online sites willing to process their donation money.
