      Penn State students riot



      Students at Penn State rioted last night in response to some football couches firing. Apparently the coach was some legend for some reason but was caught having a part in a sex abuse scandal. There are students who think this calls for rioting? really? and to think I was about to go here...

      I've just been reading about the endemic culture within American colleges to not forward students' accounts of sexual assault to the police... what the fuck?

      When I heard they were rioting, I was disgusted. 10 year old boys were molested and raped while attending a football camp... this was about 10 years ago! The coach walked in on it but failed to respond appropriately.

      But the students love their coach, so they don't seem to care that young boys were raped and the coach was silent about it. Horrible.

      Sadly, I'm really not surprised. It's not just in colleges, but American culture in general. No one wants to talk about rape or sexual abuse, they'd rather just blame and attack the victim. The culture makes it difficult for anyone to come forward about it.
