Well I guess we will find out...

Lol. Just to name a few (I'm too lazy to check if these have already been said in this thread):
- Military thought-to-speech for missions where you have to be absolutely silent.
- Having silent phone conversations.
- Dream journalling in your sleep
- Doing any kind of journalling or documenting on the go
- Recording your thoughts.
- Brain training
There is plenty of stuff you could do with this technology. And I think most people will agree that it would be kickass to have a telepathic conversation.
Say what y'all will, I'm just going to be freaking out [in a good way] when technology can record the vocal track I hear in my head for my songs. :D
It gets really hard when I have to hit a high E-flat in real life, but I can hear that sound in my head just fine! ^_^
All I said was that I wasn't sure of any. That's totally different from ridiculing people for suggesting that there were some. It's just that your particular idea was unintelligible and stupid. MindGames on the other hand was actually able to come up with something good.
(P.S. you started this thread by totally writing off any benefits of image reconstruction, great job putting your own foot in your mouth there).
wtf....I didn't write off the benefits of it. At all.
I said that this was much more promising.
The image reconstruction they are working on now is COMPLETELY infeasible!
It's like a brute force type of thing which just isn't going to work without some inconceivably/impossibly powerful computer.
This will be awesome too. I come up with some amazing songs in my head, full orchestral compositions. But I have no way of getting them
in to the real world.
