Wait, there was a propaganda ban? I thought marketers were just making propaganda more sophisticated.

If propaganda is illegal how does Fox get away with "Fair and Balanced?"

Watch any of the military recruit ads and then tell me there isn't propaganda in the US. If those are not enough, watch the music videos and stuff on it. Heck they even made a video game for it.

This is going to make the plethora of propaganda existing even worse if it is allowed to go through. My favorite is FOX's slogan, "We report, you decide!" and "Fair and balanced."

To be honest that is a very different issue. Last time I checked, Fox isn't a state mouthpiece. Quite the opposite in fact. If you believe in free speech, you have to allow individuals or private companies to say things you don't think are true.

This is about state propaganda. The state shouldn't be allowed to use tax money to tell people to vote for the state.

I don't know which is worse, sophisticated marketing strategies delivered by media monsters controlled by a central banking system...

A more succinct way of putting this would be to say: "We already have propaganda. They're called elections."

I wasn't talking about the elections themselves I was talking about the way politicians attack each other through commercials, but yes I guess it could be put that way in a way.

The Anti-SOPA view could be construed as propaganda as well given the definition of propaganda.
