Didn't CNN interview Bin Laden back in the late 90s?
I believe they did.
we'll nip it in the bud this time, though. right?
Not gonna happen so long as republicans and democrats are in officeQuote:

Agreed.
you can't be serious
It was a legitimate question.
Obviously it isn't going to happen, and isn't even going to be attempted. However, it isn't at all unreasonable, at least from a starting position to negotiate from. I would have some issue with releasing all prisoners but there are many who have never even been charged of crimes and all of them should be released even if it wasn't part of some deal. In fact most of the stuff should be done regardless of any deal.
If the US government were interested in peace, they wouldn't have made it look like Al Qaeda attacked us on 9/11. Just Satan.
If I remember correctly the only domestic commercial flight to be allowed in the US during the no-fly period after 9/11 were for two bin Laden family members to be able to fly to an airport to be able to depart the country and return to Saudia Arabia. The bin Laden family must have been very grateful for that. But I don't think gratitude is the reason for asking for peace. I think it's because at present there are cruisers, aircraft carriers and minesweepers from 25 nations converging on the strategically important Strait of Hormuz in an unprecedented show of force as Israel and Iran move towards the brink of war.
EDIT: Hey greenhavoc, careful, you might get another temp. ban for showing a willy in your avatar
What I find most telling; is..
He wants peace, he says, between Muslims and non-Muslims and has written a proposal that outlines the terms.
Kind of obvious what the issue is here. Not understanding that all are people. Stop identifying yourselves as your religious beliefs.
