      The DEA Will Lose $166 Million in Funding on Friday

      Thanks to the sequestration, the DEA is on the chopping block to take away $166 million from its $2.02 billion dollar budget. As the article states, this puts the DEA at 2002-2003 levels when they first started cracking down on marijuana dispensaries.

      Being an advocate of personal liberty, I am very happy, but I'd love to see the DEA cut more. Their function should serve to protect Americans either by targeting the Cartel who imports so many drugs that it sustains itself on that alone or the pill mills which give too much access to dangerous pills. If we decriminalized all drugs (like Portugal) and legalized the ones which never caused death (psychadelics and weed), then we'd see a very different society.

      That's good, but I would love to see the DEA budget cut down to $0. All drugs should be legal. The war on drugs is the most intrusive and dangerous form of symbolism over substance there is.

      I think it should be cut by 2 billion and all drugs legalized. But I guess this is a good start.

      Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

      Hopefully this'll put more pressure on them to investigate and act on drug related things that matter, rather than arresting ordinary citizens.

      157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.
