      Technology harming our society!!!

Technology is becoming more and more implemented into our lives but how it affects us? In most homes there are more than one TV and more than one PC. There are more and more gadgets and electronics being sold every day. We are surrounded by hundreds of gadgets and electronics every day. How will be our future? More and more people are trying to design some device that will have all knowledge you would want. For example those glasses that could translate languages or give you many information about anything or Ipads in schools etc. We will soon become a society that feeds on electronics it seems. It seems like we will switch electronics and gadgets for food and eat them instead lol. Also there are many and many problems concerning technology taking an every aspect of our life. For example if we would have glasses that could translate any language...would we even try to learn a language. Of course there would be people who would but what about some lazy people or some who are not that interested or educated. They could only buy some kind of glasses like that and who cares for everything else. What could happen in the future as it will become more and more reachable to people and more spread. What about Ipads for example in schools....no books...no notebooks....it isn't right. We would write only by pressing a screen and as those gadgets will be more spread and with increase of their popularity all people would only be communicating by them by typing by pressing the screen. What would happen...would people by time forget to write...? Would it be very strange? What about I don't know if you had I pad in school and you had maths and you need to draw a circle or divide a line into two different parts. You could only press a button on an Ipad and what then? Would we start to forget how to do it by pen etc. What if we could do anything and find out about anything by a press of a button.....would there be a need of learning anything. What if we could do everything with those gadgets....wouldn't we forget to live....wouldn't we become dependent on them? I don't know but this doesn't lead anywhere good.....What do you think?

"Technology is harming our society!" you type as you sit in front of a computer.

Paper being replaced by electronics is good, IMO. It saves money and trees.

don't you think I know all of that.....do you think I'm stupid....I care for the environment a lot and I think we should plant trees and everything more...and we should not destroy forests every day for spreading cities etc. etc. and many other things.....don't you think I know I am sitting at computer but I wouldn't at some points try that much to develop some things some people want to.....and I am just talking about bad sides which are many....and I am sure more oof maybe even good but also many many bad sides will be exploited once.......and there are many bad sides...health issues due to bright screens etc. etc. radiation from all of that devices etc. many many

All of humanities knowledge at your fingertips? That is probably one of the coolest things in the world. Who cares if we can't write by hand in the future, we could still read and type. If we got rid of paper, you wouldn't even need to write. If writing wasn't required, and was replaced entirely by other communications methods, then who cares if you write or not?

That is like saying your sad people don't write letters anymore. That is mostly true but no one cares. Pretty much everyone would rather just text or email someone than write a letter. Typing and the internet, is faster, cheaper and more efficient in every possible way. Letters suck.

Why should I carry 5 heavy text books and a bunch of binders in a backpack at school all day? My backpack was heavy as shit in high school, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. If we got rid of all text books and replaced it by a small thin tablet that people did their work on, it would be a boon to all future students. There is pretty much zero reason to do things the old way, just because someone did it that way in the past. We should do what works and what is more efficient. If that means getting rid of text books and notepads, we are all better off for it.

because many knowledge could fade away....and we would be dependent on electricity what happens if electricity or computers fail we would be lost......
it's not good because we would be "smart" but yet so stupid don't knowing the basic things......it would be like we are maybe smart and yet blind totally .....and without any sense of ours....

And what if all our knowledge was in books at the library, and the library caught fire and burned down? All the knowledge your city had would be gone in one single accident. The chances of the internet dying everyone in the world is a lot slimmer than a single library burning down. The perfect example would be the Library of Alexandria which was burned down, all that knowledge was lost forever, who knows what things were lost that there was no other copy of in the world. It is a sin against humanity that such knowledge could be lost forever.

Technology is far better are preserving information and knowledge. Today, once something goes out on the internet, and people start sharing it, it will probably last in some form forever. Technology doesn't put us at risk of losing knowledge, it protects our knowledge and spreads it around the world. Our technology is improving the lives of everyone around the world, it should be embraced, not rejected.

Sure, sitting in front of a computer all day isn't healthy, but there are several benefits to the computer and other technologies themselves. I'm talking to foreigners I've never met in person and likely never will. That's an amazing thing.

I guess it is.......but we never look at the bad sides...no one thinks about that...everybody just say...yeaaahhh ...yeaaahhh it's awesome....and look now I've been too much on PC I admit it and look what it done to me.....now I have to wear glasses and it's mostly because of PC because I was a lot on it and my head started to hurt.....and what would you say on that......it's acceptable casualty ......yeah right......why don't we die from PC's and all of that kind of things then if it's acceptable.....and btw .....I see like 7 of 10 people walking with a mobile phone and just texting whole day without even looking around it's just stupid to just look at that screen and don't look and see the world around you......also bright screens are bad for health and dream cycle....and also I see people sitting next to each other and texting themselves on a phones....instead of talking to each other....but they are sitting next to each other....really great...or two friends next to each other instead of talking and etc. they are looking into mobile phones like zombies.....it's really awesome yep right .........

I agree with you there, and I think that should change, but what I'm saying is that I think the pros outweigh the cons.
