      Anarcho-Capitalists vs. Socialists

There is a Facebook group called Anarcho-Capitalists vs. Socialists. Those are two groups of people who in many cases love to go off about their political beliefs. Since I like the idea of the two political factions debating in a Facebook group, I thought I would try to promote the same conflict and exchange of ideas on this site. I know there used to be a lot of socialists here, and there were some anarcho-capitalists. I am not part of either school of thought, but I still want to designate this thread as a ground for debate between anarcho-capitalists and socialists. I love to watch debates just like I love to watch boxing matches. I don't know what the political cllimate is like here these days, but here is this thread. May the games begin!

For those who are interested, here is a link to the Facebook group.

Is there room for somebody in between to debate? I am opposed to socialism, but that doesn't necessarily mean I am a proponent of Anarcho-Capitalism, at least not in any strict sense. I know you said you don't identify as either as well, but you did say "but I still want to designate this thread as a ground for debate between anarcho-capitalists and socialists". I'm guessing it's fine, but I just want to check before wasting any significant amount of time.

It's not at all clear to me that I want to engage in a heated debate about politics (or the lack thereof) right now (these things can get rather draining), but for the sake of information I would like to confirm that there is at least still one hard-core defender of freedom and property around - namely me. I fit fairly well into the Rothbardian camp.

So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?

Yes. Everybody is welcome, except people who are clearly there only to cause trouble.

You might like to at least read the discussions. There are lots of anarchists and minarchists in there, but there still aren't that many socialists. There are some, and some of those are pretty persistent.
