Very interesting indeed. That and the fact that if this is possibly true. We beings being such and extremely small part of the universe in size, have the capable knowledge of having the idea and concept of the multiverse as a whole and theories galore

From what I read: Way cool. But I will read it when I get home. Reading this huge shit on a 19 inch screen is at least... do-able.

I'm surprised no one else finds this interesting.

Well, I think the Huge pages are pretty unpleasant to read, maybe that hold people back.

I Just read it... and I must say: Quite interesting indeed. I have thought about this: 'If you think of something bad, chances are it happened in some other O-sphere' too. I find it interesting to read about this now, however I recall reading something similar some years back. (see page 2 btw).

Edit: Page 4 has this neat graph. If the theory is true, it would explain why we are in 'the goldylocks zone', the zone with the exact standards for atoms to be capable of reaching such variety as we know it. Some creationist argue that only god could have put us in such a perfect zone.

Edit2: Where is this article from? I find it a really interesting theory. For someone that isn't at rather high levels of knowledge of physics and astrology, like just about Everyone, it is hard to say anything about how likely this theory is to be true, but it does sounds plausible to me.

There was a magazine I found at a bookstore in Japan called, Cosmos. (Not to be mistaken with Cosmo, the lame woman's magazine)

I find all these ideas and theories interesting yet funny, because ultimately they all end up using INFINITY to explain FINITE existence. Remember that nifty little idea of pi? 3.1416...... We use something we can't even begin to grasp to write off and explain the unexplainable. That requires us to go on faith that this paradox of a reality is real, and assume we are even here. I think it's no different from what religious zealots do, minus one difference. They are able to obtain some finite results of harnessing the understanding of that certain limit within infinity. Science is really magic with more fervor.

Everything always ends up in contradiction in the end. People constantly searching for meaning where there is none to be had. Half of infinity is still infinity.

But if you put an 8 on it side, you have captured something of infinity. Also, the difference between religion and science is that they indeed both try to explain the infinite, but science also tried to find out the truth. Actually I think science pur sang (theoretical science) is about truth, and explainment of the infinity is a result (an entwined result) of it.

Also, woman magazines like Cosmo are lame, mainly just because there are Thousand different ones of them.

Back on topic: I am pretty darn glad that people found out about pi. We use it to understand the world better, and we use it so we can broaden our abilities. I know that on a truly objective scale it matters shit or we have something we can calculate what the diameter of that bridge-wire is, but I am human, subjectively I care a lot.

Also, we mostly indeed do assume we are here. 'We' don't say were are here per definition, but since it looks like it, we are all just going with the flow. It doesn't really matter or we are in the matrix or not (for instance): As long as the matrix last, what we do does matter completely, and it is completely real... inside the matrix. Even if I would Know for SURE I was just plugged into a machine, I wouldn't know why I would change my life. Lets say we can't 'escape', why would I change my way of living? Happiness is still happiness. Having fun with something is still as fun.

You seem to have this opinion: 'We can never understand everything (we can't even know what everything is), so lets stop trying'. At least that is how you sound to me I highly disagree.

      Am I right?

I'm not saying we should stop trying. Hell, I enjoy taking it all in, too. I'm just saying more understanding can be found within if you open yourself up to it.

Ahhh That is your point... Hmm... I have to disagree. I might add that the old greek philosophers also thought knowledge could be perfectly (I forgot or it was just from inside or only objectively from inside) obtained from inside..

I disagree. The human mind is a beautiful and very interesting thing, and many can be found within, but nothing corresponding with something from outside the mind... That is what I think, the mind is just the mind, there is no metaphysical soul or something.

      I agree with that.

I read the theory it's very interesting...I think I want some swiss cheese.

I get from this that the mutiverse is or could be something like a large atom, don't ask me why, thats just what I see. We're just a part of a giant atom in infinity.

I believe that size is irrelevant to everything other than perspective. I'm not sure there aware of that concept.
