Exploiting Time & Coincidences.

Ever been waiting for a bus, for so long, and you go down to tie your shoe lace because you just noticed it was undone, and in that moment, the bus comes, because it's inconvenient for you.

Ever been at a restaurant, where it's taken so long for a main course to come, you decided to go for the plain rice on the table because you were so hungry, and just then, your main course arrives?

I find myself in so many instances where the above applies, it's hard to explain, but it happens...

So I started to try and exploit it.

Put yourself in a inconvenient position when your patience runs low, the excitement will outweigh the embarrassment if any.

EXAMPLE: You are waiting for a friend to arrive, you did not take a shower because you were a little late at getting organized. Ironically your friend is running late, but you know he'll be over any minute now... ( Sure will.. )
You try to convince yourself that you have time for a shower, but you know your friend will come in the shower period. ( He will... )

So what do you do? Try taking that shower if you can't wait any longer, almost always it will happen. ( Whatever you were waiting for. )

TIME? - This ones a little more obvious, sorta remember what things that seem to make time SLOW DOWN, and FLY BY, and abuse them. ( Of cause you can't masturbate in school, and u can't listen to a lecture during sex... :P )

What you guys think about it?

I think the reason it works is because the longer you put something off for, the higher the chances that the bad timing coincidence will occur. For an example, the restaurant. If you wait 5 minute maybe there is a 5% chance of them bringing the food out within a minute of you reaching for something else. Now if 20 minutes go by your chances might increase to say 65% chance. Now your never going to have it happen all the time but if you raise your odds to 65% by waiting a long time for everything it would seem like it happens all the time.

Anyway to your question, I think the only reason it works is because your so slow and deciding what you want to do. If you decide to hurry it along without delaying far more than needed, you might actually have time to get everything done before they show up heh.

Mmm... i see what your getting at.

What i'm suggesting you do, is grab for the rice, put yourself in that inconvinent position. The chances will turn against you. ?

Really though, you could then say, because you were too confident, that it wouldnt happen, so put yourself into a win-win situation, go for the rice you wouldnt mind eating, and if the meal were to come along, well yay. :P
