      It's Official: Jesus used Pot

Okay, sure if you examine his teachings there are many similarities between his beliefs and those of dope-smoking hippies from the 60s. In many ways, he was the original hippy. But what about real evidence?

The term "Christo" or "Messiah" literally translates to "The Annointed One." Whether or not Jesus did use any cannabis himself, part of the Hebrew rites of becoming an annointed one involved something known as "annointing oil" or holy oil. If he did not use any himself, then he was not properly annointed by his culture.

Recorded in Exodus(30: 22-23), this annointing oil including over 9 pounds of cannabis buds, or as the Hebrews called it, "kaneh-bosm." Ancient chosen ones were literally drenched in marijuana.

From Moses to Samuel and the dawning of the age of Kings, this oil was used in rituals of Priesthood so these prophets could receive "revelations of the Lord." Samuel inducted Saul, and later David, as the Messiah-King, using this oil so they could become "possessed by the spirit of the Lord."

In fact, according to Leviticus 21:12, being annointed was a symbol of royalty. In fact, one could not be titled a "messiah" without first being annointed.

Atfer Jewish kingdoms were conquered cannabis became illegalized because it became associated with pagan worship. However certain sects continued to practice their ancient rituals, silently awaiting the return of the Messiah-king in the line of David.

The ministry of Jesus marked the return of the Messiah-king and despite that the Old Testament had banend the substanced with the forgery of the Book of the Law, Jesus continued to use it as an initiation rite and distributed it to the sick and wounded.

Though the New Testament contains some evidence of Jesus' use oof cannabis oil most evidence was passed through Gnostic sects of Christianity. These sects were banned when the Roman Empire decided to create the Christianity-Pagan hybrid religion more than two billion people practice today. These sects claimed to have saved ancient scriptures and rituals that did not survive the transitional period.

Actually for four hundred years after the death of Jesus the term "Christian" described countless different sects of the belief. The Roman Ruling class picked one, single ascetic branch of Christianity to incorporate into their society and from there formed it into the Roman Catholic Church. This church held councils where, among other things, they chose to prohibit both pagan worship and all differing forms of Christianity.

In attempt to save their scriptures from burning these Gnostic "heretics" hid many of their scrolls in caves. One such higing place was discovered in this century and termed the Nag Hamadi Library. There is no reason to believe the texts found in this library are any less accurate on the Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth than the New Testament.

Certain differences between this account and the New Testament, for instance, is that jesus was not born the Messiah but annointed by ohn the Baptist, which explains why the virgin-birth mythology is conspicuously absent from the Gospels of Mark and John and that his story actually begins with his initiation.

Although his initiation is described as mere submersion in water, depictions of the after-effects show the Jesus underwent a deeply psychological experience.

Jesus came from Nazareth Galilee and was baptised by John in the Jordan. As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased." At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert, and he was in the desert for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with wild animals, and angels attended him. (Mark 1: 9-13)

This depiction is actually not to far from what many ancient Shamans of Incan, Inuit and Indian civilizations experience during their rites using psychedelic substances.

Not only that but John's style of initiation was also very similar to the style Samuel used when annointing Saul and David. Furthermore, Saul's reaction to the initiation was also very similar to what Jesus experienced. Following the annointment Saul became possessed by the spirit of the lord, and then wandered off to act in a frenzied and ecstatic manner.

Furthermore Gnostic sects claimed that water batism was an incomplete form of baptism. In the tractate, the Testimony of Truth, water baptism is rejected in reference to the fact that Jesus baptized none of his disciples.

The annointing or "sealings" as referred to in Gnostic texts can be seen as a very literal event.

"The anointing with oil was the introduction of the candidate into unfading bliss, thus becoming a Christ." - GRS Mead Fragments of a Faith Forgotten: Some short Sketches Among the Gnostics of the first Two Centuries

"The oil as a sign of the gift of the Spirit was quite natural within a semetic framework, and therefore the ceremony is probably very early. . . In time the biblical meaning became obscured." - Henry Chadwick, The Early Church

Surviving Gnostic texts make it very clear this oil had intense psycho-active properties. Gnostic texts like the Pistis Sophie and Books of Jeu state spiritual ointment as a prerequisite to the "Highest Mysteries."

Here's a quote from the Gospel of Phillip rejecting modern forms of Baptism:

"go down into the water and come up without having received anything. . . The anointing (chrisma) is superior to baptism. For from the anointing we were called 'anointed ones' (Christians), not because of the baptism. And Christ also was [so] named because of the anointing, for the Father anointed the son, and the son anointed the apostles, and the apostles anointed us. [Therefore] he who has been anointed has the All. He has the resurrection, the light. . . the Holy Spirit. . . [If] one receives this unction, this person is no longer a Christian but a Christ."

So please, all who consider themselves true Christians, stop ridiculing people for using Marijuana. It is sacred.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

I'll summarize in 3 easy steps because I want to hear what the ADD people think, too.

      1. Jesus was baptized by holy ointment. Anointing literally means to bestow ointment, and messiah translated to anointed one.

      2. In exodus it makes it clear the traditional holy ointment used to anoint messiah-kings contained over 9 pounds of cannabis bud.

      3. Saul was anointed by Samuel using this anointing oil, and had the same experience Jesus did after he was anointed by John the baptist. After his anointing there's also mention that he continued to anoint his disciples, who then anointed other people.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

Wonder where they got the number 9 pounds from. Did they even have weight measurements back then?

Besides that... of course Jesus smoked weed, if Jesus ever existed. I'm sure he ate a lot of mushrooms too. It is clearly stated in the bible many times about sacred mushrooms and sacred pot.

Plus they had cow farms back then. I'm sure somebody ate the mushrooms one day and from then on, we have been eating them and seeing god.

Well if I was trying to make some sort of holy ointment, I definitely wouldn't use any less than 9 pounds of cannabis
