Of Missing White House Emails and Destroyed Interrogation Tapes

What does everyone think of this?

Back in March, it was brought to light that "somewhere over 5 million" White House emails have turned up missing, dating from March of 2003, to October of 2005 (basically, from the start of the Iraq War, to the era of Katrina).

Two days ago, it was revealed that the missing number of emails was actually more 10 million.

The text states that the White House's official position is that there is always a backup for these emails, and it is "doubtful" that the emails have been completely erased from the system. It is simply a matter of finding them.

Well, it's been 9 months since news of this was first brought to the public, and, so far, not only have there been no retrieval of these emails, but the number of the supposedly missing has doubled. As stated, it seems that Federal employees had been given access, among that time, to a completely separate emailing system than they were supposed to be using, which directly led to the "logical possibility" of their having been deleted. I find this both very convenient, and very troubling.

Also, on an unrelated note:

A developing story now is that the interrogation tapes, relating to top Al-Qaeda operatives that have been captured, have been destroyed. The official position was that these tapes possess no informational value (even though these were TOP operatives of Al-Qaeda, and would probably possess more information than most other interrogations) and that, should the tapes be leaked, it could put the interrogators identities in jeopardy of some terrorist backlash.

These tapes, even if simply reviewed by independent committee, before their destruction, could help to quell the debate on whether or not the U.S. commits torture, during their interrogations. Do you think their disposal (and the official logic behind it) is reasonable, or possibly an attempt to hide the content of the tapes, themselves?

Aside: I was introduced to the CIA tapes being destroyed by watching FOXNews, but (surprisingly?) I haven't heard/seen one thing from fox about the missing emails.

Thats a big surprise right there. The White house has the best computers in the world, And they lost 10 million emails? how pathetic, they didn't loose it thats for sure, knowing that they posses these chips that are not even revealed to the public. I have big doubts that those emails disappeared. Especially in times like 2003-2005 when America entered Iraq.

Im talking about computers that are created by the top scientist in the world. Billions of terrabites avaliable.
Those emails probably had something that the government didn't want to release. So erasing it from all the computers is the solution. One by one, they track those people who send them. And night by night , many of them get erased. These emails could have evidence, that could have done big damage to the gouvernments and secret society's.

otherwise why would the emails disappear? did they hold some bs? rofl, if thats the case, no way they would have been erased.
