Evolution is a Fact - Not a Theory

thank you photo and kromoh for your responses to my question. So if I gather your explinations correctly it is a little bit of both luck and having the right enviroment to feed off of.

back to the finches...the finches were in a way lucky to get the kind of beaks they did, but at the same time they were in an enviroment that allowed that mutation to be an advantage, so they stayed and propogated in it...where as the finches with other mutations went to a different enviroment that better suited the beaks they had and then propogated there. Correct?

lol riot... apes have many abilities humans don't. They have almost photographic memory as well. But hey... we have learned complex language (and are able to learn more), and developed full consciousness, not to mention mathematics, philosophy and so much more.

It only serves to prove monkeys and humans came from a same ancient ancestor - and not that humans came from monkeys like that major misconception.

But our ancestors, homo habilis and whatnot lived near the equator - so they lost their fur, slowly. Even the neanderthals had still a lot of hair on them - and so do some gross 40 year old virgins today xD

lol... but they can't bite as bad as a wolf. Wolves have a complex hierarchy system, a highly develped communication system, the most acute sense of smell in all the animal kingdom (they can trace the impregnant smell of monkeys weeks after they've been somewhere), have better hearing and sight than apes. Plus they look way better (we mus tagree apes are ugly). And remember there is rape, corruption and jealousy between apes - and I think that's a characteristic they share with humans :P

wolves with human level intelligence are next. When that happens the reptilians will come out from hiding in the earth and have a war with them :D couldnt resist...

Maybe not on matters of intelligence, but he's right on saying that ants, along with other insects, will be one of the ruling species in the future - the world, especially with the interference of civilisation. They have all the contributing conditions for populations in a gigantic level. Perhaps a modern plague. Ants do indeed worry soem human settlements near forests like the amazon :P

How do you know apes didnt evolve from us?

technically according to evolution we evolved from a common ancestor. Apes just got more brawn and we got more brain

basically apes as we know them were not around before us. Whatever species came before us had many genetic mutations, the offspring that benefitted from brawn and dexterity eventually branched off and became modern apes, the mutations that had larger brain power eventually branched off and became human. Whatever the common ancestor was died dude to it not being able to compete with modern apes or us.

That is the general idea anyway

Lol. Read about evolution. In tha tsentence you suggest we came from apes. That is not true. Evolution says that both humans and present apes evolved from a common ancestor - which means present apes are also evolved, not only us. They didn't "freeze" in evolution like thought.

If you wanna go against evolution, first you must understand what it states lol. Right now you are attacking something that is not evolution.

Am studying evolution in univeristy and while there are many facts in the fossil record i.e Lucy the most famous example showing the progression from apes to australopitheces to early homo to us..

Science cant not fully explain evolution because there is too many "gaps" in the fossil records to fully understand something to call it a fact..

So evolution fundamentally lies a theory...

Can't say there are that many gaps. Yes, evolution is a fact - if it happened the way we understand right now is the theory. I made sure to add somethign like this to my sig xD

The fossil record is also no longer the only source of information--comparative DNA studies, as far as they've gone, have reliably corroborated the broad outlines of Darwinian evolution.

If your standard is the the entire story of evolution be told, it will never be met. It would take a few billion years to tell. You don't have to have evidence of every single little step of something to know that it is a fact. We have enough information to know that evolution is a fact even though there are things we cannot explain, but lack of explanation on a few details is not automatically a complete incapacitation of knowledge.

Suppose you are in a room with one entrance. You see somebody stand outside of the entrance, and then you seen him walking toward the entrance. You close your eyes for a moment but hear him walking into the room. You open your eyes, and he is in the room. Then you know that he walked into the room. You consider it a fact. But that does not mean you can say specifically where he was on his fifth step. Not being able to answer that would not mean you don't know that he walked into the room.

Some scientists supposedly now consider evolution a law, but I am not totally sure on that. They have stricter requirements on what they call principles. They have much stricter standards on what they can call things. I am not a scientist, and I say evolution is a fact, just like we can all call a criminal defendant who is not in a court case we are involved in "guilty" while the judge and jury have to call him "innocent until proven guilty". If evolution is false, that would shock me just as much as finding out that the North Pole does not exist and has been an illusion this whole time.

and as for DNA samples.. yes they can be used and have been used to examine dates of fossils.. but you also need to consider that the DNA can be contaminated and does not give direct evidence for the origin of man mainly because it is very rare to find it on a sample..

Ohh and where do you think they get the DNA from... ;)

Lol yeah DNA breaks down and turns impossible to analyse after time. If DNA stayed the same we'd be able to bring dodos back to life. And maybe dinosaurs.

Cosmos, there being small gaps doesn't disprove evolution -it only shows we haven't yet mapped out all the evolutionary process.
