That we actually know what a planet is is a significant leap from a few thousand years ago.
A global event like climate change affects everyone/thing, not just the sensitive specialized species.

Yes, that is a very good point. When I used to read things like they could take a person from 100,000 years ago and raise them in modern society and you wouldn't know the difference, I thought that somehow we were all missing out (well, not all people, but modern people) were missing out on some aspect of our existence by not living our "natural" hunter-gathereer lifestye. I guess this means I shouldn't worry about that--we've evolved to this environment, and we couldn't go back (and be happy) even if we wanted to.
I don't think people know what a planet is. Otherwise we would look after it.Quote:

Ok well now you know what a planet is. Your next step is.....knowing how to look after it......ok jackass..
If we ended up being thrust back into the wild without any of our modern material goods I think only about 1 in 1000 of us would survive ... maybe less.
I'm sorry for any rudeness or offensiveness I may have caused.Quote:

Spartiate the wild survives as long as the earth survives. But polluted cities crumble in a very short amount of time. Unless they are designed and maintained in such a way as animals can survive within them also. How many civilizations have crumbled. When has the wild not prevailed. Cutting trees down or raping the earth of resources doesn't count as defeating the wild. It only contributes to the self destruction of the ones doing it. Nature always wins as it is supporting everything. Anyone who thinks they are above nature is in a sad state, ready to be cut down.
Mystic, I do not see how you are refuting evolution. You are not providing alternate explanations or rational debunking.
Simply saying, "Then why is the earth not in good shape" is not good enough. This is because you are not providing evidence for the earth being in "bad shape" and you are not providing reason why humans should be the sole responsibility.
Furthermore, your reasoning is still in-line with evolution. Species want to survive as a sole species; species do this by reaping resources. How is anything that you have said so far in rebuttal to this?
At least if you are going to try and attack someones points, provide reasoning, substantial points, and alternate explanations based on empirical and systematic observable explanations rather than vague, sarcastic, subtextual anecdotes.
Steps away from being the first person on my ignore list.

I'm guessing it was something like this, anyway.Quote:

wow, they sure took that one down quickly! Haha. To bad guys. It was like the most amusing thing you would have seen all day. It was a south park video of the teacher teaching the class about evolution.Quote:
