Actually, if the Great Depression is any indication of what could happen, the richer you are the worse off you will be. This is because poor people are used to being poor, and basically have nothing to lose. So my 100 dollar savings is worth half as much now. Big deal. Rich people have more to lose, and have no idea how to cope with poverty.
I can't wait till anarchy sets in. Shouldnt be too long now......Quote:
It's the end of the world! Well, perhaps not, but it's the end of economics!
The more you start out with, the better off you will be. That will always be true. Rich people start out without debt and with more material goods. Poor people do have things to lose--their home, their car, etc. The stock market is not everything, if that's what you mean by your $100 being worth half as much; the same is true if you mean because of inflation.
Too bad.

You're very right about that. China and India are emerging nations. As Donald Trump says "If you want to know how a country is doing, look at their building history" China now has more Starbucks than America and a few hundred skyscrapers...it wasn't but merely a decade or so ago when Shanghai was the place of China's only skyscraper. I'd put my money on the likely idea that America will lose their "superpower" status and that China or India will gain it. Nowhere to run Xox, nowhere to hide..
So where to go...where to go...:(
Oh I seen pictures of england where on some street corners they have like 10 cameras all stacked up pointing in every direction. I heard from a lot of people they have cameras all over the place, especially in the big cities like london. Like on every single corner no matter where you go theres cameras watching you. In some places they can even see into businesses or homes.
no, not really
the vast majority of footage gets recorded, stored for a while, and dumped without anyone looking at it
(you'd need to employ a whole other country of people to actually review all the CCTV footage)
only time anyone looks at the cctv is when someone's been stabbed / run over
It happend in spain for awhile they set up Anarchy during the civil war for awhile.Quote:
Anarchy will never set in, there will always be someone controlling people.
But i know im using the wrong word, for me Anarchy and Chaos mean the same thing atleast i use them interchangeably...What i really meant was Chaos though.
Still, any form of social disorder is very temporary. Just look at the centuries around the collapse of the western Roman empire, when barbarian invasions totally destroyed the infrastructure of classical western civilization. It was everyone for themselves for a little while, then small groups of armed men would take control of settlements, in exchange for protection. Settlements would battle each other and territory was gained. Eventually whole regions would come under the control of warlords. Villagers and warriors would swear oaths of loyalty to these warlords and feudalism was born, leading to the kingdoms of the Middle Ages.
If society collapses now, small factions would band together eventually growing into brand new societies.
