I found this to be quite interesting...
It particularly strikes an eerily similar chord with many of my posts on here, and my mindset of life systems and reality, and also how certain things are syncing up...
Enjoy, and Discuss! ;)

This is the best argument I've ever seen for the Earth as one living organism, and for a necesity to respect the ecosystem.
It explains with 10 minutes what Al Gore took 2 hours doing.
It doesn't seem like study of the mind has overcome the information industry. It seems like right now one just sustains the other. Anyone interested in studying human potential can, so millions do, but it's not the new wave yet. Maybe I'll be surprised.
yum! I can watch it every day
Also, I'd like to note that this film was made back in 1983.
That's kind of my point. He implied by 2000 the world would have reached global thinking.
Whether it's reached that point or not, there definitely needs to be more people thinking along these terms...
Hopefully, we'll see that in our lifetime or we won't really have future lifetimes worth living.
I'll check it out when i wake up, off to bed i go.
The earth has already reached global thinking through the internet.
The next step is shared lucid dreamin ^^ which did already manifest in a digital form which we call MMORPGS.
Maybe in the future, humans will create a matrix themselves. Everyone will be hooked up to some feedingtubes, and they will live in a virtual world with no limits whatsoever. It's already scientificly possible, they can hook up your brain to a computer, and just by thinking you can manipulate a robothand for example.
Many people have lived on this earth. Where you are sitting, at least ten dead bodies are buried in that place, and they too were serious like you. Now they are no more. Where have their lives gone? Where have their problems gone? They were fighting -- fighting for a single inch of earth, and the earth is there and they are no more.
The macrocosm is reflected in the microcosm
The microcosm is reflected in the macrocosm
Such expresses the true interconnected nature of all that is
The most powerful statement that can be made to this video, is that such can be seen within ones own experience. It can be measured by what is seen within oneself.
1983 was the beginning of my senior year in high school
Thanks for these links! I find this very interesting and I've thought about this idea myself a bit.
Completely agreed. As within, so without. The universe is reflected in your mind. If you are interested in this, I would recommend practising the art of memory of Giordani Bruno and Hermetic Philosophy. Through discovering his own mind, he discovered the entire universe without any tools whatsoever. His description of the universe, 500 years ago, is what we only recently discovered through science. His model is what we use now today. He believed practising the art of memory is the fastest way to enlightment.
The art of memory from Ramon Lull, Giordani Bruno and Guillio Camilo is what resulted in the computer we know today.Quote:
The two most famous users of the art of memory were Giulio Camillo and Giordano Bruno. Bruno wrote a book on the subject and advised that the “images [that were chosen] must be lively, active, striking, charged with emotional effects so that they may pass through the door of the storehouse of memory”. Intriguingly, Bruno proposed the zodiac tool, rather than the theatre/palace tool. He created an elaborate method, which was based on the combination of the concentric circles of Ramon Lull, and filled these with the images representing all the knowledge of the world. Bruno – and his peers – believed that these “spinning discs of the mind” would allow the mind to reach the intelligible world beyond appearances, and thus enable one to powerfully influence events in the real world – magic: they were mind machines that would somehow send the mind spinning so fast that it would move into another dimension.
okay, well im gonna go against the grain here =b
he came off as weird and eccentric, not gay. gosh, you guys are seriously homophobic. anyone who asks weird must be gay by your book
I'm not gay, you're gay!!!!!
Maybe we're all gay.
Nice thread. :) I'd like to see a newer video on the same subject with updated information.
We're all closet pomosexual. Homosexuality requires preference.
If there is no i then what am i? watching this video and the guy said all these spiritualists searched for it in meditation, and found no "i". If there is no i, then what am i? i can think, so i generally would think i am i. Am i just some non existance that expieriences?
edit- Now that i think about it, i think this was said on a different video of his on his website.
I is awareness, so how can you be anything that you recognize?
In order for you to recognize it, it must be something separate than awareness. This awareness can be aware of the thoughts in the brain it uses to experience this level of existence and the nerves in its vessel. However, it can also be aware of the world around it, like thoughts, sights, sounds, feelings and even emotions are really just sensations meant for an experience to captivate our awareness.
It doesn't mean you're nothing though, it means you're everything.
