nearly 100,000 signed up
keep it coming america!
Ron Paul will never become president. I think Huckabee has a better chance, and he released a convicted criminal who ended up killing two people.
If you actually read his site, its not for a presidential campaign, he ended it already.
Go and actually read his CFL site before you start dissing him again, the purpose of this campaign is to spread libertarian beliefs among the american people, not to win a rigged election. We all know you hate Ron Paul, you don't have to keep repeating it.
I know that, however I think you misread me. The website is pointless, Ron Paul is never going to cause a revolution.Quote:

Rigged, the election was not rigged. This is not Zimbabwe.Quote:
not to win a rigged election.
double post.
lol the elections are rigged hun, they have always been.
At best, you're choosing from a list of candidates that have been pre-selected for you, and at worst your vote doesn't even count. If that's not rigging, I don't know what is.
At best, you're choosing from a list of reptilians who have been pre-selected for you, and at worst, you forgot to wear your tinfoil hat. If that's not rigging, I don't know what is.
Again with the tinfoil hats, who the hell wears those anyway?
Listen, if you don't think elections here are rigged, you must be living in the twilight zone honestly, theres not much more I can say other then that.
You don't have to live in Zimbabwe to have rigged elections, America hasn't had a real election since Wilson was elected.
Read up on how wilson sold out america to the highest bidders:
Rockefeller, Warburg, Rothschild, Morgan
That's who determines the next president, not us, and there is no such thing as reptilians, that stuff is childs play, this is reality.
Hmmm... a country where you not only get to choose the main candidates for the presidency, but before you do that, you get to choose who qualifies to be the main candidate... Whereas compared with England, you have your candidates chosen for you to then vote for.
Yep... smells of rigging to me.
I don't know if you didn't notice but primaries actually mean jack shit, its the delegates who choose the candidates, and then the respective parties choose who gets the nomination, through that entire process no average american chooses.
Primaries are like popular votes, they mean nothing...its the delegates and electoral votes that matter, which aren't chosen by us the people.
Also, the candidates we supposedly 'choose' make 1,000 promises and keep 0 of them.
every 4 years we are given a 'different' choice but we end up with the same EXACT POLICIES
Now tell me we have a choice, because we don't have a choice, red or blue it doesn't matter...we are all voting for the status quo one way or another and that my friend is the epitome of RIGGING.
End of story, wake the fuck up people, jesus you are like sheep lol
I don't know about you, but the reason politicians don't do enough is probably because no one bothers to start a revolution or stir things up like that. A revolution every once in a while can do a lot of good for the state of affairs in the long-term (not so much in the short-term though). Even then, to be honest, the US has a better system than let's say UK. Blame the politicians, not the system I say...
You're right about that, I like that last post...viva la revolution!
:D
That's probably true. Canada is also very similar to the UK, in that we also don't choose our party leaders. However, any apparent difference between the US and UK (or Canadian) system is skin deep, I assure you. In the US they may get to "cast a vote", but the vote doesn't count. It's a pretend vote, really.
Now, in all 3 countries, the general election is, at least in part, determined by actual votes (not counting the US election of 2000). However, to have a real vote when you weren't able to choose the choices is meaningless.
However, there is another issue that people rarely think about, but that is more important than even the election itself. And the fact that no one seems to bring this up (other than me) just proves that the Orwellian manipulation of our children is going along quite smoothly.
I am talking about democracy. Even if we take the US system, and even if we say that the fantasy of primary votes counting is true, and we say that all general election votes make a difference, what are we left with? A president, a congress, and a senate. I challenge you to give some empirical evidence that this even qualifies as "democracy". For example, when Bush decided to invade Iraq in 2003, the American people weren't even consulted. Same goes for 2002 Afghanistan. And now thousands of Americans have had their lives taken away, and hundreds of thousands more have had their lives turned upside down by a war that no American even chose to participate in. Again, I ask, how can you call this a democracy?
Why weren't Americans allowed to poll in on the wars? And don't say they did indirectly by electing Bush. Because even if Bush was legally elected, there's no way in hell the American people could have foreseen 911.
So much for self-determination.
drew I totally agree with you, it feels more like a constitutional monarchy rather then a democracy, in actuality though america was founded as a republic not a democracy.
But still, we drifted far far far off from that path, BUT men like dr.paul and bob barr surely are inspiring americans to voice their real opinions and to fight back, sure we aren't physically fighting, i think a real revolution would be squashed now-adays anyway.
I mean, our military is enormous, if we rebelled...we would be toast.
That's what the government wants you to think. But the truth is, a government cannot rule unwilling subjects for any significant length of time. If the American people reject the government, then it becomes an occupation. And we know that occupations never work. Even the tiny middle eastern nation of Iraq has nearly destroyed the US economy in just 5 short years. Similarly, Afghans fighting with AK-47's and bazookas directly caused the downfall of the USSR.
I can see you're thinking that we have it worse off because of things that the government does to our children. You think indoctrination of the youth is a new idea? You think our generation has a tougher time? All empires used indoctrination. But they still all fell, because empires have one fatal flaw: they must expand, and they must consume everything. Sooner or later, an empire becomes so tyrannical that even the indoctrinated youth can't help but notice.
Or maybe its the military might of the US government that scares you? I don't think that's a problem. With a $10,000 missile you can shoot down a $100,000,000 helicopter. At that rate, the government wouldn't be able to wage war for more than a few years with their fancy technology. And then it will boil down to numbers. And you know who will have the numbers.
The only problem I see with a revolution is convincing enough people to go for it. MOst americans like the way things are. They are too busy watching tv even think about how hard the government is fucking them.
So my question is how do you start a revolution like this when most people don't want it? how do you make people who are happy with their lives of mediocraty realize that there lives are really boring as hell?
More people just need to see what's really going on, and not just watch the propaganda *cough* I mean "news"
Start a Fight Club.
On a more serious note, all revolutions start at the grass roots. You need an entire generation to question the government's authority. You will never get a middle class, middle aged guy working a 9-5 government job to revolt. But young people are much more receptive to the truth and the urgency of action.
I agree with you on the youth thing, but a violent revolution (like in fight club) won't work. Violence just gets people pissed off. You can't beat people into beleiving your your message because that just makes you the new government. We need to inform the public and unite the people. Only then will we have peace. Only then will I rest.
What the hell is a peaceful revolution going to accomplish?
Protests?
Protests accomplish nothing imo the government laughs at our protests and they laugh at our revolution because we would not pickup a weapon to fight.
They can just press a red button and wipe us off the map.
