Death on a bus.

Holy cow, Okay, around where I live in Canada, there was a bus going from Alberta to winnipeg I think.
This guy was on it, and he was at the front of the bus and he moved to the back.
He started fighting with this other guy and stabbed him a couple of times before he CUT OFF HIS HEAD.
Seriously, when people starting running he was walking around the bus with the head taunting them.
Isn't that just sick.
Imagine, how would you not notice a knife big enough to cut off someones head.:huh2::holyshit:

Very sad and disturbing though, I keep hearing of incidents on the grey hound bus, obviously none as bad as this. But just recently an older woman who is a friend of my family was hit multiple times by a homeless man on the bus before the driver kicked him off.

Public transport has always kinda freaked me out, this sort of thing does not help.

Your curiosity for an answer does not completely match your effort. But it matches it to this extent. The day you wish to be truly free is the day you will not think it terms of impossibility but in terms of what is possible. This man was killed not because it couldn't be prevented, but because you didn't want to save him.

Now I see you thinking this over as if it were even more absurd. But you didn't take into account I already have reasons to believe to which you have not yet considered. I didn't want you to put on a cap and mask. All I was saying is that you need to make a decision not just simply observe events as if they were out of your control.

If you considered about dimensional travel. It would be possible to go to a dimension where those around you do not kill each other randomly. It would also be possible to eliminate the possibility of ever such a thing happening in reality.

Yea he was sleeping, was stabbed, then decapitated, then the victim's head was used to taunt the people on the bus (after they were out, waiting for help to arrive). He then began cutting up the victim before returning to taunt the people outside. And I heard he began to eat him as well.

Oddly enough, doing all of this apparently, completly emotionless.... like a robot.

Its so sickening, its something u'd expect to see in a horror movie, not in real life. The poor kid, 22 years old, plenty of life left ahead of him, taken away before he could do anything about it.

I saw the kid's myspace, it was sad and made me feel more for him & his family/friends after seeing it. Its really unfortunate & devastating. More than words can describe. I cant imagine how is family feels that his body was treated in such a horrid way. Rest In Peace kid.

Yeah I know, that was just a damn shame. I know people talk a lot about doing something in that kind of situation when they really wouldnt, but I honestly can say that if I was behind the psycho piece of shit who was stabbing that guy, I wouldve definitely knocked the living shit out of him right in the back of the head.
I mean, I certainly wouldnt have waited for him to be done w/ the first victim and move on to another. To tell you the truth, Im surprised that nobody did anything in that situation, its just not even fair to the victim... he didnt stand a chance being asleep and nobody helped him out...

Just imagine falling asleep on a bus... then waking up to being stabbed endlessly for no reason while everybody else around cowards away off the bus fearing for their own lives instead of helping you... Thats a pretty depressing way to die if you ask me.

This is vile, truly. Made worse by the fact that the killer showed no emotion or remorse, what sickens me most is that because of his calmness about the whole thing he will likely be deemed insane and be put in a mental institution where he will get his ass wiped and forehead kissed. Instead of being in Jail.. ideal scenario would be Canada bringing back the death penalty as an exeption especially for him, but of course thats never gonna happen. I was on youtube earlier and was reading comments made about videos around this, a lot of people were saying " why didnt the other passengers try and help the victim" I honestly dont blame them for running i know I would... quite blatent that this man is a physco, he`s took one life it makes no difference to him if he takes a few more. Plus who knows, if you tried to fight him and he killed you, it may then provoke him to go on further and try and turn it into a mass killing spree and kill others. While hes on that bus dismembering his one victim you know the others are relativley safe. Better to loose one life than risk many more. I know that sounds incredibly selfish, or maybe just incredibly honest i`ll let you decide that for yourselfs.

There's something about beheadings that really deeply disturbs me.

In an earlier discussion today, I think it might not just be the whole horror of it, but specifically that it's an inescapable way to die.
Pure survival instincts kicking in, and nothing can be done.
Sheer terror, and no chance to escape or accept.

Put simply, it upsets me.

How such things can be spread around "popularly" as mobile phone videos, and see people laughing at them, is even harder to understand.

Yeah I live in Alberta and i heard the story. Did you know that before the rest of the passengers were sent to councelling they were dropped off at WalMart and given fresh free and clean clothes. They also caught a guy last week trying to board a greyhound bus with a hatchet. I hope this doesn't become a trend. But i wouldn't be surprised if this incident inspires a handfull of low budget horror movies.

I see a big difference in killing an innocent man sleeping on a bus and killing a cold-blooded murderer. Personally, I could put a bullet in that psycho's or any other cold-blooded murderer's head and not loose a second of sleep over it; he just doesn't deserve to live. If that's how he wants to treat other humans then I say that's how he should be treated.

I agree w/ marlie, I sure as hell dont want to be paying for him to eat and be taken care of like a baby for the rest of his life; its like he's going to be rewarded instead of being punished for what he did.

I was making a point. I wouldn't order anyone killed. I thought I made it clear by not supporting execution.

You did, and I respectfully disagree w/ your opinion on execution. I know that there are a lot of wrongfully accused murderers who dont deserve what they get, but I think that the people who make it very clear that they did what they did and are proud of it deserve (eye for an eye) justice. So where in this thread has anyone eversuggested not punishing the murderer. Some would argue that bieng imprisoned for life would be a lot harder for the killer, than to simply just die. Who are you to judge what is good and evil and decide what is justice? When did you get to decide when one human life is indespincible? Thats stupid. He killed someone in cold blood, with no compassion for his victim, the victims loved ones or the people that had to watch it. He is a sick sick individual. If he gets sentanced to death it will be for the purpose of justice against this and not through malice. This is a difficult topic.

I honestly don't know what I'd do if a loved one begged me to kill them. A harder situation is if it was someone who I did not "know".

Then again, the hypothetical is not real. No use dwelling on it.

This was in the news here in Germany as well. I don't think an unarmed person would try to "knock the living shit out of" a lunatic with a knife who just beheaded someone. This is why gun control fucking fails. It means that criminals and crazy people have weapons whereas well-intentioned people have jack shit. He could have been done for had there been a proud American on the bus shooting the bastard. Instead you have to stand by and watch. Oh yeah, that's just perfect but OMFGBBQWTF we can't have people owning guns because people are evil as opposed to well-mannered criminals who own guns either way~~~ jeez.

And no, this is definitely not a reason to bring back capital punishment.
