I spent almost the rest of my life in a sterile enviroment, and then decide to walk outside?
Depends on how much time you spent outside. Regardless you wouldn't be very healthy.
I guess it would depend on how long immunities last... Maybe like an allergic reaction. Anaphylatic(sp?) shock? Do babies get sick more often when they are born?
Maybe..You would never get immune to anything.
No because how would the body fight it off?
You have never been near it so you get sick and the cells die and you die.
But if you have been near it live in a bubble for years then come out you will be fine, just a little sick for awhile while the body fights it.
You know, maybe I'm wrong, but I think a baby has enough antibodies (or whatever you want to say) from it's mother to help fight sickness when it's born.
If the baby wasn't capable of fighting off sickness, then it'd die almost instantly once born since the bacteria in the air, not to mention from the birth, would attack it. Also take into consideration, the birthing process is more than likely inside a hospital, with sick people spreading their germs in the air.
When the baby is born it is born with the antibodies that fight some off..But if he was thrown in a bubble..He wouldn't get any better while he grew..And then he would walk out and die soon enough because he didn't get the anti body strong enough.
But you are born with them but if you dont face the illness then they can't get stronger.
I don't think so. If that were true, I would have died the first time I had ever gotten the common cold. He'll survive unless he was born and is unable to make antibodies, but he will probably be sicker than say someone that's been on the outside world the same length he has been inside a sanitized bubble.
No you wouldn't..you get shots with the virus in it to get them stronger too, but if he sat in a bubble he would never get any better and he would die.
That's true, but it doesn't mean it's not going to be able to fight them off once it comes into contact with it and catches it.
I've never had the flu, or a prevention shot, so am I going to die if I ever get it? I highly doubt it.
Well maybe not but you have faced other sickness have you not?
But maybe he wouldn't die maybe he would..Im not sure but I say he would it could all depend on him.
If he gets sick fast or not.
I seriously doubt he would. The only way he'll die is if he's born without an immune system and isn't able to produce antibodies. As long as he has an immune system and can produce antibodies, he'll be able to survive sicknesses. If coming into contact with something for the first time killed, then the mortality rate of babies would be very high since they'd almost instantly die from coming into contact with germs.
But he is born with his mothers blood..and had he mom protect him enough till his system is strong.
Ok, look at it like this.

If your argument was accurate, then I'm practically screwed. The only illnesses I've ever had is strep throat, the common cold, and stomach viruses. I've never had any other type of sickness. So if your argument is correct, my immune system is going to get royally fucked by the flu, or pneumonia, or whatever other bug I can get, and I'm going to die.
I don't think he will die so soon but he will get so sick, babies are watched like a hawk.
But I guess you are right.
Im still not sure he would come out all healthy and prone to illnesses.
Yeah but when it adjust he could get really sick.
Bull shit. I got super sick when I was 2 and had to go to the hopsital. It's defintely possible for babies to get very sick and die. It depends on the strength of their imune system. Some babies are healthy and have a strong immune system and don't get sick.
But if you were kept in sterile environment for along time your immune system would not be up to par and if you got sick you would be more likely to die. You wouldn't neccissarily die, but the risk would be much higher.
So you're agreeing with me, good job. I've already said the person in the sterilized bubble would get sicker than the average person of the same age, more than likely. I don't see why they'd die though.
If they're kept in a bubble all of their life and then set loose, there's no reason to say they're going to die when they come into contact with germs. If that were true, babies would die once they're born.
Not really. Babies are usually fairly healthy when they leave the hospital, if not they usually don't leave the hospital. But I agree with you to a point. It's not that likely they would die, but there is a possibility of it. Theres a possibility for almost anyone to die if the get sick enough. If someone kept in a sterile environment their entire life and then caught a serious case of pnemonia I think they have a chance of dying. But just going outside for a minute wouldn't kill you. It's really a vague question.
It wouldn't be healthy. Then again, it probably would become boring before it became unhealthy.
I never said the second he left he would drop dead, I said he could get really sick faster then die.
Ha..Well I think the bannanas have the answere but care not to tell us because they are dancing,
Ha.

Lies...
The baby has his or her mother helping them live, her blood and her food, her defens system keeps them alive,
Now if you are born and put in a bubble, and at the age of 16 walked out a cold would be ten times worse because you never been near those types of germs and other virues..
Blah.....
Try it out and report back in 50 years.
Ok...Im getting in the bubble.
