A few months ago i posted a thread that mentioned the Planned Economic collapse of the USA. Now it is happening. And you wanna know what your government is doing with your tax dollars to fix this situation? Printing more money with the Federal Reserve to Buy out large Banking Companies. This is going to be larger than the great Depression. There's 2 words for this: Communism and Socialism.

Coincidently the Homeland Security website is saying that Terrorist have been unleashed in the US and is planning more attacks on America. What a perfect time for a terrorist attack to come!!!! While the US is economically weak.

What I predict will happen: A few more terrorist attacks, but really they are going to be Reich stag fires. A state of Emergency will be declared and I do not have to say further what will happen next.

DO NOT go along with any government plans to protect you. Do not give them your ID and to not board a bus or a train under their advisement.

People are going to be very angry at what is going on and will Uprise. By the middle of next year expect a civil war. my advise is to prepare a survival kit, get a network of people you can trust to escape into the wilderness with. There are survivalist groups on the Internet that have been watching this develop and are planning their own ideas for out of sight communities. You guys are going to flame me all you want. but the very worst you can do is continue to deny what is going on.

Well why the hell not? Jeez. The great depression was a lot worse than this economic fluctuation and things returned to normal after a while. Everything fluctuates; weather, the earth's magnetic field, the stock markets, population numbers, diseases. If it's not a fluctuation, you're pretty much saying the world will end. That doesn't seem very likely.

Yes. It's logic. If things get bad, then the world doesn't end, it's a fluctuation. If things get bad, and keep escalating, and the world ends... then that's not really a fluctuation, is it? I don't see how there can be anything else other than these two options. Sure, a fluctuation could be pretty damn big, even bigger than anything we've experienced before - but if it doesn't result in our extinction, then it's still just a fluctuation.

please educate yourself on min. wage, its functions, and how it relates to inflation and ceo's. that is a reality. not a conspiracy theory.

please educate yourself on externalizing the cost, what it means, how it affects third world countries, and how it affects our jobs. thus, effecting our economy by decreasing the power of the dollar to buy.

please educate yourself on the planned obsolescence of goods, and what that means for the global economy.

Like it or not, but the way our economical system works there are periods of economic downfall about once every ten years. Sometimes that might look pretty cataclysmic when it is happening, but if looked at the big picture of the last 150 years of economy, it's pretty normal. It are normal fluctuation in the steadily rising line of economical growth.

But you have a hard time looking at the big picture. That would imply you did research and thought about things from a historical perspective, and that is just to much to ask.

You are suggesting that because something is not a common occurence, that it simply will not happen, and to top it off, you are generalizing all these people into a group of "retards". Not every survivalist believes the moon will crash into the sea this summer. I am a "woods survivalist" myself, and don't believe in many of these theories.

Well, my argument mostly is that there does not seem to be any more reason to think the world is going to end than there was in 1929. And I hope we can at least agree that what the the opening-post dude is saying is nothing completely certain.

By all means, being in the woods and such is awesome fun. But I doubt there will ever be a reason to start living there, even if the economy crashed completely. Actually, I don't think that even if we had an economical ressesion more extreme than 1929, which is pretty unlikely but not impossible at the moment, that mass-chaos would break out. I also doubt that 'by the middle of next year' there will be a civil war. (As Ranma claims there will be.) And since the American government can't even orchestrate a few simple tasks to help the Katrina victims, something that would have spared them alot of bad PR, I doubt the government has a plan ready to profit of the coming chaos, and start a forth reign or something.

So. Yeah sure something bad could happen. Probably nothing is going to happen soon however. Probably the current economical situation will not cause something extremely horrible however. Probably the way Ranma is describing is based on nothing and pretty far fetched and extremely unlikely to happen. Bull call me next year if I am wrong, if the phones still work during the 'civil war'. :)

Woo i had a test tommorow, so all the better! And coulden't this wait till FarCry 2 came out? I wanted to play it before the world ends =(. In all seriousness, i highley doubt this will happen, doomsday is preached every few years, so one day they WILL get it right, no time soon i imagine though. Go into the woods and be prepared, i am going to stay and risk my chances though. (I live in a more rural area of Florida, a nice area, but we aren't huge in population so if anything SHOULD happen i should be safe from the buses that the goverment sends)

I don't think a complete collapse is going to happen (they will drain the Treasury before they resign to that fate), but it is interesting to go to the financial sections of foreign news websites and see the impact that this is having on markets and banks overseas.

They aren't reporting about this much if at all in the US media (probably so they do not create more panic among investors), but the losses and failures are not going to be confined to this week only. If other insurers start going under, though, and cannot be bailed out like AIG there is definitely going to be more panic in the markets everywhere.

As for the survivalist aspect of it all, pretty much the only thing I know how to do is start fires with a magnifying glass.

I've been watching these events unfold for over a year, ever since the the housing bubble. When you control a nations money supply, And you lend it out on loan with interest to be paid this equals only one thing: more debt. What has been the governments solution to this economic crisis? To bail out corporations. and now they are giving billions of dollars to international Banks. This is called :Inflation. And what happens when the FED demands all those billions of dollars back? I don't need a degree in economics to understand this issue but i do know how to read.

Even over here in canada All i have to do is look at what is happening. Bill C-51. A big brother take on health products. The bill wants to make vitamins in the same category as illegal drugs. and then NAFTA and the SPP? they are all just isolated incidents right? The US government now listens in on your phone calls and reads your emails... just a coincidence right?

Nice Prophecy Ranma. To many a mysterious prophecy, to you and me and many others common sense. To see what is going to happen to the USA look at Western European nations.

We are all tied to the USA's economy and we will take the fall too. Probably sooner than the USA as we are, like many of this world's economically enslaved nations, a Bufferzone for the USA Militairily and Economically.

The same socio-political situations, mass corruptions and economical decline are unfolding here in the Netherlands and I and many others here have spoken of a civil-war to come too.

I've had the plan of escaping into the wild, to an autonomous island with aot of nature too. I and a couple of friends.
My plan is to build up an existence that is totally independant of any big society and instead is a humble, close to nature, self-providing society. Make our own elextricity, fix our own healtcare, farm and create our own food-supply, clean our own water, fix our own civil-housing, fix our own education and fix our own transport. This way the entire system of Mass-civilisation and all it's facilities (food, electricity, drinking water, sewersystems, healthcare..etc), which are all tied to a global Economic system that is like a sinking ship, can crumble to the ground around us and leave us unaffected.

They're good in theory, but not in practice. I don't like either system anyway, but if they worked like they were supposed to, everyone would live fine. Currently we are Live seeing inflation to a high degree, where in any moment the whole structure could collapse. Just beg the chinese and indians to keep their american bonds in tact. Depth of 13 trillion nation wide + 3.5 trillion chinesse bonds + the rest..... gosh i wonder if tax money can cover this mess.

Funny thing is that like with each and every crisis in history, economical or otherwise, most people don't understand the nature of it. You do not really understand what is going on with the crisis, the sub-prime mortgages, and the insurances -made by calculations of some smart physics and math kids- making up the shadow market worth a few trillion dollars. Neither do I.

The disconnection of gold from money isn't the main reason of this crisis. With proper regulation, this system could have gone on far far longer.

Anyhow. Fact remains that all the doom-thinkers on this forum know jackshit about the nature of the crisis. But neither do I. I don't think aliens will buttfuck us however, nor will a totalitarian government. Thats still just silly to think.

In all honesty, like with so many things, it's pretty hard to say what will happen to the economy in the next 5 years. Impossible even. Like with so many problems in history, the only certainty is that people with little knowledge will overreact like little children.
