Martial Law -- What?

Once again I'm shocked by the actions of our Government to do whatever it pleases under the presence that we're preventing terrorism. (Terrorism being something, I believe, is caused greatly because of our terrible foreign policy). Can anyone piece together this puzzle of why exactly we need something like this now? Are we expecting some huge civil upheaval that needs to be quashed by military force?

Of course it's not that bad yet. But what about the application of this in the future? This is an atrocious example of how our government has sapped away the power from the people to do whatever it damn pleases regardless of the constitution.

I've said all I care to for now. Discuss.

Scary stuff, and I want to know why the Military is being assigned to handle protests instead of local police.

my uncle informed my mom about this frightening move

the night before however she had a horrible nightmare where the army had road blocks on all of the major roads, forcing us to stay in certain areas and stay out of others. so in the dream we travel only using small local roads, farm roads, or even just walking in the forest to get to a safer location in the US

since she found it more than coincidental that the next day my uncle told her about this, she's been freaking out ever since. . .and is pretty convinced that one day she has to be ready to take the low roads and head for the hills

I don't want to associate this move with FEMA camps (http://www.freedomfiles.org/war/fema.htm , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0P-hvPJPTi4) but it's extremely hard not to. With a handful of executive orders we could lose all of our freedoms. Even if the constitution never gave the president so much power, but, in fact, limited it, we turn a blind eye and let whatever happen pass as law.

Yeah, the military is definitely infiltrating all protests.

I google my name in quotes and I get tons of pictures of me over the years in black blocks, my face masked, etc... It's rediculous. Not to mention the fact that they lock you in a "free speech zone" CAGE. Free speech zones... ha!

I love my country, it's a beautiful place and I love the people in it. I despise our government and all politicians.

I'm going to stop this now because I could write many pages on why I'm so angry about this.
