Inspired by the Suggestion of Slavery, I Have Another One...

I say we should take all the first offence murderer/rapists and put them in Northern Alaska during the winter. The sun is not up so they can't tell the direction that way. It's cold, not so cold that they are freezing but cold enough to where the temperature will eventually kill them. We also make sure that it is a bear/wolf infested area. We tell them that to the North, anywhere form one-half a mile to one-hundred miles away is the nearest outpost that will take you in.

Here is thier decision.

A 500 Smith and Wesson with 14 bullets.
or
A really nice fur coat.
or
A compass.

If they make it through the ordeal, than they are probably changed for it.

If not, 2nd offence is in the middle of the African Bush. 3rd offence is the middle of the Sahara desert. 4th offence is the middle of outer space.

What do you think?

Agreed. Solely for the fact that watching someone explode when put in outer space would be awesome to watch.

I am in favor of the choice for convicts to earn a bunch of money or something in unreal-tournament like fights on tv. As long as they agree to take the risk. Don't want to be forcing anyone to get their ass blown apart by shrapnel.

No, because it would either teach them a lesson or kill them, and wouldn't cost taxpayers money by putting them in jail.

I like it. I'll be sure to incorporate concept of punishment into my future empire.

I have some suggestions though.

1. Tracker chip implants that also detect vital signs.
2. Everyone gets fur coat and survival kit (without a compass) by default.
3. Give prisoners the illusion of free will by letting them choose between the death penalty and these games
4. Prisoners released in batches of ten. If more than one returns alive, the survivors must fight to the death with a melee weapon of choice. If they refuse, they are fed to hungry polar bears.

Not our problem. They should have thought about theat before they raped/tortured/abused/killed that(those) person(people).

i like this one even more!! i think that it would be a great idea to do that, i mean, hey if we put them in jail, how are they suffering. all they are doing is taking up room. i say let's go for it! *evil smirk**evil laugh**coughs excitedly*

This should only be done with people who have been sentenced to death. I mean, hey, they're gonna die anyway. This way they have a chance to earn their right to survival and also die like MEN!

So if I was one of the ones dropped off in Alaska; I'd just pick the gun, shoot someone with a coat, shoot someone with a compass, find my way to a town (those things exist in Alaska, you know) shoot someone with a vehicle, make my escape/exact my revenge. Great plan.

Also, its a lot easier to judge direction at night rather than day. The compass probably wouldn't be that useful. I'd still shoot the guy and take it though.
