Unfortunately, we might get the nightmare policies Obama promised. Then again, we might find out that Obama was just talking out of his ass the whole time. I very much hope he was.

I often wish we could have two presidents, one for foreign policy and one for domestic policy. I would be very gung-ho about a Ron Paul domestic policy presidency.

Even if you happen to disagree with Obama's policies, as an American you should still be grateful that you don't have to be ashamed to tell someone your country of origin anymore because it elected a complete imbecile into office, twice. I know that politics should be about policies and whatnot, but McCain always acts confused and like he doesn't know where he is and Palin is a gullible moron with no knowledge of anything relevant. Even if you loved their policies, you'd probably be better off voting a potato salad into office than those two.

I am disgusted with the Republicans for nominating John McCain. They are obsessed with nominating verbal pansie ass wimps. Bob Dole against Bill Clinton? WTF??? George W. Bush against anybody???? Well, he got into the presidency by the skin of his teeth. John McCain against used car salesman of the year? It is not working. The Republicans are going to have to put up champion debaters with articulation superskills if they want to win elections. The Democrats consistently nominate Smooth Mr. Cool while the Republicans consistently nominate soft spoken Mr. Nice Guy the Mumbler. The average American dumb ass is going to be much more drawn to Smooth Mr. Cool than to Mr. Nice Guy the Mumbler no matter what. It is how things work, unfortunately. The Republicans better wake up to that problem.

At the best though, he sounds like a very impressive person with a strong and moral vision.

Smooth talking is one thing, but being reasonably smart is another. Sure, you wanna elect politicians, not scientists, but still you don't wanna elect idiots that are the laughing stock of the world. Making fun of politicians is probably important for democracy or whatever but if it's like getting a laugh out of a cat trying to catch it's own shadow because it's too dense in the head then something's wrong with your country. Agreed. Obama's president for 4 years folks. Deal with it and look forward to major changes. It's imperative we hold him accountable for his promises. But nevertheless...historic day for change, ALL people of color, the youth in america (people of all ages really), people from all walks of life, reform, and the world!! Ask anyone that voted for Obama. The main problem with all the republican nominees since Bush Sr. is that they're fucking morons, or they associate with morons. I mean, just watch any debate or speech from this past election. Obama always comes off as smart and articulate, and both McCain and Palin just look like idiots. In the last month they didn't even talk about their platforms. All they talked about was how Obama would either raise taxes or bomb the Pentagon.
