The forum of death?
Is it just me or do a lot of posts die when they get here? It seems like a lot of posts are doing really good, replys every day, then they come here and they stop, no one ever posts again. Not sure if its because people don't check this forum or if when they are moved people don't see where it went. They might not even see that it got moved if they dont log on for a couple days, then they might think it got deleted or no one replied so it fell off the front page.
Might not even be this forum but topics that are moved in general. What do you think?

I guess this just isn't a forum that stands out to a lot of people -- you know, like Senseless Banter or Philosophy do. I haven't noticed that moved topics get less attention; in fact, topics that are moved are usually moved to forums where more people would be interested in the topic, at least that's the idea.
I do acknowledge that this forum is a bit dry. I dunno...maybe create some spicier topics?

I voted against creating this forum in the first place. Over the years I've used the internet, I've found that it's best to keep everything in a few areas - this applies to alsorts of things: games, forums, websites, etc. The second you start dividing things up too much, people won't bother to click through all the pages to find posts. The ones at the front simply get the most exposure.

I agree, there seems to be a lack of traffic in this area of the forum.

Sadly I didn't even notice this section until about 20 minutes ago...

I think that mostly the people who come back here to this off topic area are people going for the Lounge or Senseless Banter. I say that because since it was created, both this section and Philosophy have seemed to slow down quite a bit, while the Lounge and Sense Banter haven't that much. Philosophy appears to be staying alive, but if you go into it and read some of the posts, alot are pointless, don't really have anything to do with Philosophy, and really belong in either the Lounge or Senseless Banter. I've cut back on how much I go there myself, because I think the last post that was Philosophical in nature was like a month ago or something.
