It seems to me that making genocide denial illegal just gives unnecessary credence to the arguments. If there are no laws about it, holocaust deniers are just bigoted kooks. If there is a law, then it seems like there is something the government doesn't want people to know. Freedom of speech also gives people the freedom to ignore. Limiting rights only draws attention.
Denying genocide is rather disgusting and ignorant in my opinion. But, nevertheless, denying genocide should not be a crime, I think. It is an attack on free speech, even if done with only good intentions.
