      Quick mini workouts for building muscle/getting stronger?

      Hi all, I was wondering about what kinds of things I could do at home to get stronger and build muscle? I do not have weights nor time to go to the gym, since I swim every day. In addition to swim, I want to get stronger and build muscle. I was wondering what are some quick workouts I could do like pushups or something to get stronger?

      Also, is the thing about there being two types of muscles true? I mean I have heard there is the lean functional muscle and the big bulky muscle...

      Well if your not using weights, then your limited to pushups. You can do regular pushups for your chest. Wide pushups for your back. And close hand pushups for your triceps. Also if you put your legs raised up on a chair and do pushups, it makes it harder. Try getting a pullup bar for a doorway. That will work your back and lat muscles.
      Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

      Don't forget squats and lunges, which are both good for working out the legs. There are a ton of variety in the basics works out, so you can mix them up as well, to make sure your body doesn't get to used to it.
