well I do sets, 20 diamond push-up then 20 wide push-ups on an incline, then proceed to do 30 dips, 40 sit-ups, and 20 squats. That's all one set. I do 5 sets which is 200 push-ups.
All at one time i can do 50 straight though.

Well I used to be able to do 80 straight. I never got higher because.... well I'm lazy.
This has given me some motivation to start again though.

I'm gonna set up my own little goal inside this one.
I have to get back up to 80 straight pushups or more before you guys get to 15000.
I should be able to do it. For some reason I have fairly strong pecs (or whatever other muscles are used for pushups). Used to bench press something like 150 or so 10 times.
I really have no idea how, this huge Mauri guy was like WTF!? haha

Sure, but I;m looking over the site and I exercise more than 3 times a week, I don't know if this would be a problem. Maybe I can just do each week twice?
After reading it over, I'm not sure I'll be able to do it in 6 weeks. I did the initial test and started on week three, which is actually less than what I've been doing. But I've been at this for like 6 weeks already and it's hard to do more than 30 in a row.

Stonedape- how many do you do at a time? The trick is to not stop when you're tired. You stop when you physically can't do any more... or close to that point. For someone starting off, that's not the way to go, but for someone who's been doing it for a while and has the muscle built up for it, you should be able to go just to the brink of not being able to push anymore
I did a self eval last night and did 50 in 1min, however, I could've been able to get 10 more , and possibly another 5-10 pushing hard before I couldn't do it anymore
Anyway, that's where you build the muscle is when you start really pushing and getting to the brink of failure. I bet you can push 5 more ;)

Man, its been awhile since I've done push ups. I keep tellin' my self I should get back into it, but have lacked the motivation.
