Can't complain about dry throat... But I can make an issue out of having that tiny, stabbing itch in the back of your throat that won't go away after downing a gallon of water. It's such a bad itch that my eyes get all watery. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I heard somewhere that there is a natural rhythm where you alternate favouring one nostril over the other. However, it shouldn't be completely blocked, and you definitely shouldn't be feeling a sharp pain. |
|
only when i squeeze it o i feel a sharp pain, its not killer, its not so bad, but its still there |

Punch yourself in the face, that usually does the trick. Alternatively, ask a doctor. |

I remember reading this in something about meditation that I must have discovered through this site. It was about positions for meditation, and it said whenever you lay on your side the nostril closest to the ground will clog up after a while, and when you roll over, that one will eventually clear and the other one will clog. I've always found it to be true. It might not have anything to do with snot or swelling or anything... could just be those masses of olfactory tissue shifting around in there - they do kind of resemble thick twisted curtains all jumbled around - hard to understand how it's EVER clear in there really. |
|
The surgeon who did my septoplasty actually said that too. It's usually just light swelling from being on that side. |
|
I also could only breath through one nostril for a long time. Sometimes not able to breathe through my nose at all. |
|
My right nostril is always partially closed. I can choose to breathe solely through the left nostril without pinching the right one with my finger if I want to, but I can't breathe through only the right nostril without pinching the left. It's always been like that, and it can be annoying sometimes. I think I need to have a surgery sometime. |
