      Breathing Problems

BEFORE I START... i have hay fever (allergies to pollen) (which may be the cause)

I have trouble breathing through my nose, usually 1 of my nostrils is blocked and the other is quarter blocked or something. And i always retreat to breathing through my mouth. But i want to breath through my nose because... iunno its better

Is my hay fever the cause?

I think for most people one nostril is usually blocked, at least if you;re laying on your side. The lower one will block up after a while. If you roll onto the other side it will switch in a while. But yeah, if the other nostril is partially blocked too, that would suck.

Is this true when you're upright, or just when laying down?

      Yeah you're screwed.

Maybe slap on a Breathe-Right strip and empty an antihistamine spray in there. Other than that I don't know what to tell ya.

      Breathe-Right strips.
They look totally silly, but they actually help if you're having issues with one plugged nostril... Which seems to migrate whenever you change sleeping positions. That happens to me a lot during the fall.

Try a humidifier, too; the air in your room might be dry. Adding water to it might help ease the allergies.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I have a similar issue. During peak allergy season my nose tends to be stuffed up pretty much all the time. What do you do in terms of medicine? Zyrtec (OTC) seems to work pretty well for me. Dry air will make things more difficult too, so the humidifier idea might help.
