I think they need to take the child to a doctor. That is NOT normal, no matter what they say. Not as far as I know, at least. |

I watch a 2 year old, who does not chew, will not eat, has no appetite, does not talk, his parents said he is normal, but will not eat, food has to be pureed, and then its a struggle to feed him, he does not drink liquids either, if you give him a cookie he will just throw it on the floor. What kind of disorder does he have, an eating problem or a mental issue. It very exhausting to try and get him to eat. He is not even on the percentiles for his weight of 20 lbs. Can someone tell me what he is suffering from? |

Well the first thing you need to ask, is this. Is he really not eating, or have you just not seen him eat? It is possible that he eats a lot when you are not there, and simply isn't hungry when you are. |

Food is overrated, especially when it comes to kids. Why people think a cookie-inhaling and fries-craving kid is normal- when it isn't, is beyond me. Now, if his weight is very low, and he's showing any signs of disease- insist on taking him to a doctor. Otherwise, just prepare what he seems to agree to eating, and leave it in a place he can access whenever he wants. Maybe he just hates being fed. |
