Count fingers, try to push index finger through opposite palm, pinch your nose and try to inhale through nose
Pretty easy. Pick one... or do all three
Is this while I'm awake or asleep?
I think the idea is to do them while you are awake so tht it becomes habit and you will automatically do it in your dreams. Ive never done a reality check though I just get lucky and catch myself dreaming.
Do them when you're awake. However, you must be fully engaged and pay close attention. Jsut doing it isn't enough, you have to really be into it. I usually ask, "Am I dreaming?" while I do them
Some people do them every half hour of more often. I feel that doing them a lot will only have them carry over into a dream and you won't become lucid because they've become something normal you do. I usually do one once a day, if that, and really focus on it. That works for me, but try what you want until something seems to work. Pick an amount and stick with it for a few weeks. If you feel you need more, then increase it for a few weeks
