So far not so good.
For a week I've been keeping a journal and I've only had one dream that I could remember. Go figure it was lucid as well. The other dreams that I've had I could not remember anything. I knew I dreamt but I could not remember anything feelings, colors, image... nothing! Eventually I will have to remember something I guess. I even tried someones sujestion about eating a peanut butter banana sandwich and with no luck. But still loved the snack :cheeky:

Finally had a dream last night that I remembered. I'm not fully convinced that it was lucid though...
It was strange:
I was looking into a waterfall and in the reflection I saw some actor (I cant remember who it was though) then in my dream I remember thinking (actors name) is having a lucid dream so I said run your fingers through the waterfall and just then the image of the actor disappeared as I felt it was me that was running my hands in the waterfall. Right then I woke up.
Couple things on this. First from what I understand in dreams we don't see our own reflection we see someone else (or it will be distorted) but I saw this actor plain as day. As I said this actor is having a lucid dream and commanded him to run his fingers through the water and he did so, at that point I felt the dream was me and not this other person. It of course woke me out of my dream like every lucid dream that I have had since I started to train myself.

Might wanna try relaxation before going to bed. Stress fucks up your recall, a lot. A week without recall is pretty bad, horrible actually. Take time to chill out and clear your mind, because if you arent focused on dreaming at night it can get hard. Also you can tell yourself to remember your dreams as you drift off. Autosuggestion can help.

My job yeah... I've got a lot of daily stress.
As I'm falling asleep every night I talk to my mind about the autosuggestion on both lucidity and for recall. Most of the time when I'm really stressed at work that is when my sleepwalking or talking kicks in and usually those dreams I remember very well. So the whole sleepwalking thing might just be interfering with my regular dreams... who knows?
-
Well there you go :D Im not sure about sleepwalking, but stress is obviously your worst enemy here. Its very hard to relax when all you think about is that big presentation tomorrow (or whatever your job is), but until you can become the master of these thoughts you will have difficulty with success.
Some people also say that keeping a Waking Journal also helped them with recall, though most dont really need it. It may just help you put your long stressful day behind you and keep your thoughts in the present. All you do is write a summary of your daily activities and events. Things you did, persons you saw, places you went, you know, just general stuff. I never tested it, but its worth a try.
Good luck :cheeky:

Hmm... I think I'll just try other methods rather than keeping another journal. Other things I've noticed is I can be doing something in the middle of the day and end up remember the dream because of something I did at that point in time. Like today I remembered another dream I had last night because of playing an old video game. Something in the game triggered the memory of the dream.

Thats very common :cheeky: Sometimes you get up and in the day and BAM you just remember it very clearly.

It's just magnificent how our brains work.
