Very specific dream

I had a dream that was so specific I felt I needed to post on these forums to get a reply if anyone might have an opinion on the matter.

A few nights ago I dreamed I was in Istanbul, and I was part of a team of people who work together to scavenge goods from flooded cities. We were getting ready to go to Israel to scavenge goods as Israel was under water. While in Istanbul, I went to an open market where people sell goods in the street from stands. As I was walking in the streets I had a very strong notion that I HAD to buy some black agate because my soul needed it. Something about my soul wasn't right and I had to buy some black agate so that I could cleanse it. I found someone selling agate and I bought some and then I started to eat it! It was mostly clear and looked like sea shells in shape. After that things sort of faded and I am not sure what else happened in the dream.

When I woke up, the dream seemed so real and specific I felt I should research information on black agate. (I actually never knew that black agate even existed prior to my dream). When I googled black agate some of the information about it (in terms of people that believe in gems having powers) say that black agate brings a great spirit to you and is needed for good spirit etc. Wow, I have never even known what black agate is let alone that it could have had those kind of benefits. (I am actually not one to believe in gems having powers but after reading that information on it, I am really interested).

After reading that information on google, I decided to go on ebay and lookup what black agate looks like and what people are selling. The very first thing that came up when I did a search actually looked like what was in my dream. It was a clear black agate with a sort of black encompassing outer parts of the stone. I was even more surprised by this and I felt so strongly about it that I went ahead and bought it. Its being shipped in from Asia so I won't get it for a few weeks but it wasn't very expensive so I figured I'd get it.

*Btw, I haven't watched anything about gemstones on tv or anything that would lead me to be thinking about this stuff before bed.

What do you think about this dream? Could it mean anything?

I love that you went and bought the stones. It is almost as if you were able to bring an object right out of your dreams, and into your waking life. How cool is that?! I hope they serve as a meaningful symbol to you.

Thanks, It was so strange I felt as though it was more important that I buy them than to not buy them. I don't plan on eating them though lol. I will probably make a bracelet out of them.

Any idea on what my dream could mean?

Despite what books in the "occult" section of the Barnes & Noble tell you there's really no way to "interpret" dreams as an outsider. Every human being just has so much history, emotional baggage, private thoughts and hopes and fears that even their best friend (let alone a bunch of strangers on a website) are not going to be able to correctly read the influences that create a dream. And that's assuming that there is a deeper meaning to dreams at all.
