Need some help interpreting a dream, please?

I usually interpret my own dreams using Google without any problems, but there is some symbolism in here that's rather specific and I've had a bit of trouble interpreting it. Here's the scenario:

I dreamt of hills with a bit of snow on it, and that I had ski poles and skiis on me. Somehow I was talking to my ex-girlfriend, and she said she would meet me. Next i remember it being dark everywhere around, a bit of ambient light around me and I was next to a motel called "Charlotte" - I called up the motel and they said they could take me and my ex-girlfriend in for the night, the weird thing was I had no phone, it was almost telepathic.

I was waiting for my ex=girl to turn up, I was outside, and there were a few black cats around, one attacked me, and I attacked it back with my ski pole, it snarled and ran off. Then next I remember looking for my ski poles and they were leaning on a building. Then my ex-girlfriend turns up suddenly, and she was pregnant. Next me and my ex-girflriend sleeping on a bed outside in the dark, I was hugging her, and she turned around and I saw my mum's face.

End of dream.

I interpreted it to be me being fearful of my own intuitions, feeling threatened in life and being fearful of some feminine characteristics in me (I'm a guy) and that I should beware of my ex-girlfriend. I felt that the ski poles represented security and stability, and that me looking for it was me looking for stability in life, with skiing meaning competition with my own self, the hills meaning great obstacles in life. The darkness being the fear of the unknown, failure in an attempt, keeping my temper in check, and the motel being me going through a transition in life.

I couldn't quite work why mum suddenly appeared, or why my ex was pregnant and we were sleeping outside. Anyone have any insight?
