Thread: Earliest/First Dreams Remembered

I remember many of my dreams from an early age.

One was my bro got stung by a bright golden bee and bawled his eyes out.
Another was an Earthquake rampaged my LA house and no one was paying attention to me.
I think I had several APs before when I was younger. I often 'dreamed' of the physical plane and I saw my body and my parents sleeping. I also saw other people walking around.
Another was my family was killed by a round orange ghost, including me.
Another was I fought the ghost from Mickey Mouse and the Magic Mirror GC game.
Another one was me traveling to San Fransisco with my mom and brother to visit family that we haven't seen in a while.

I'd remember more, but I don't want to bore you.

I remember seeing a big Giant Frog against a black background
I remember going to my aunts house and I think they were aliens or some shit.(makes me realize they're kinda weird >.>)
I remember flying at my grandma's house when I was young and my sister told me about Lucid Dreaming and I became Lucid that night when I realized, Holy shit I'm flying no Fucking way(literally how I talked back then, still do but due to most people being pissed at me cursing so much as a kid I turned it down a little), then I was like I'm dreaming!!! First recorded lucid. Awesome!
That's about it I can't really remember much of my life like I literally feel like I have only a couple memories from when I was young. like pretty much everything under 6-8 is like blank.

Funny you should mention planes, as one of my recurring dreams as a child was an airport in the woods behind my childhood home where we took the same plane, but to different places. It happened so much it has become a memory of mine that feels like real life. I still remember what the airport building looks like, as well as the trees surrounding it. I was about 5-8 years old for the few years that I had these dreams, and have another instance of it every year or two.

Woah thats interesting. You should try some dream cartography or something if you have a detailed picture of it.

Not sure about dream cartography, but I do draw pictures in my dream journals, since I've always had very vivid dreams. Many include scents, sounds, flavours, and other less-than-usual senses that most don't remember.

My architecture designs come to me in dreams some nights. I love those dreams

Haha yeah, i guess dream cartography is a bit 'intense.' Yeah, i find my vivid scale is up and down, or random... Unless lucid.

I don't remember actually having this dream, but as a kid while my parents were watching some movie about some creatures that ate the past or something, I was asleep. When I woke up I told mom I had a bad dream involving similar creatures chasing me.

The early dreams I do remember however are these:

One of them, though I don't remember details, involved my family being killed by vampires. I think I survived but was turned into a vampire. I think I was like... 7 when I had this dream.

Another one that started when I was pretty young but continued til I was like 13 involved me walking down some dark street alone, sneaking into a house, taking off my shoes and putting them by the door, and either leaving a yellow envelope there or taking it with me. These dreams stopped when we finally moved into a house rather than bouncing around from state to state and apartment to apartment.

I also had a lot of tornado dreams when I was younger, starting at 7 or 8 and ending at about 13. Usually I'm either alone or with a couple people I don't know in a small wooden room that has been picked up by a tornado. The last of these dreams however involved me being the only one who knew there was gonna be a tornado, and building a shelter underground for people to take cover in while the tornado passed.

oh those are some interesting ones.

im glad you shared that first story about the creatures, as it basically answered a question i've been thinking about lately regarding what our senses pick up while sleeping. I know that our senses still monitor the outside world while asleep, (alarm clock for instance) but anyhow still good help.

Dream 1: my brother, friend, and I were on top of a large boulder in the middle of a pond. My brother jumped off and swam to shore, and my friend was about to jump, but I stopped her and said I should go first because I was a better swimmer... so I jumped off and sank like a rock.

Dream 2: I was caught by a grizzly bear and we became best friends... then a dead dolphin fell off my roof and I gave it to the bear to eat, and while he was eating, some people that were going to kidnap him drove up our driveway in a yellow Toyota, so the bear stole our car to escape and drove away.

I had recurring nightmares about dolls coming alive and being demonic. i had these dreams at age 6 , 7, 8.
Maybe it happened cause i had a near death experience at age 6 from a big accident.

Definitely they do. If I fall asleep with the tv on the plot/goings on of whatever show I was watching will worm their way into my dream. Same for songs, though I have had some instances where I'll have an entire song going on in my dream and it's not even playing. I woke up singing the other day. I think it was some Train song... Which is weird cause I only just recently started listening to them on a regular basis.

Yeah thanks for the knowledge. Have you ever been asleep and had family members or other people near by talking peer through into your dreams?

I don't think so but that's cause sleeping around other people creeps me out so I tend to try not to fall asleep around people. And if I do It's probably cause I'm horribly exhausted so I don't really focus on my dreams as much.

yeah that makes sense

Literally complete darkness I thought to myself hey this rocks no bad dreams!

I often had dreams about tornadoes or volcanoes..

The very 1st dreams I remember were ones when I used to have a big teddy bear of the big bad wolf" from 3 little piggies, getting up and biting me in the night.

Second was when I used to fly down the stairs and hide under the kitchen table from Mr. Blobby who had razor sharp teeth.
