What do you think is the best method to influence a dream? This is not about became lucid, just orientate a normal dream like "I want to dream about X, or i want do be in Y". |

I have heard that if someone wants to dream about a certiant subject that they should think about it through the day, then write it in their DJ before bed. |

The thing that I always find triggers a content dream is faking a kind of 'importance' to your subject matter for a few days. You sometimes need it to be/seem as important in your thoughts as all the practicalities that you will think about in waking life so it will stick in your subconscious. I find that simply watching media which contains your subject matter is not always enough, though it is quite helpful before you sleep. It's also good to have the dream in the back of your mind as an intention during the day too. Please feel free to PM me if you'd like to ask questions, as I know this post isn't too well formed |

Daydream, or write/type up what you want to dream about. I find that daydreaming while listening to appropriate music helps me to incubate certain dream content. eg. if I wanted to dream about some epic swordfight, I'd listen to Breaking Benjamin and visualize what I want to happen. Sounds stupid but it really helps me. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Agreed wholehearted with Puffin on every point, I'm glad I'm not the only one who does these things, you articulated it better than me, but I guess what I was trying to say is that the daydreams need to seem as important as other thoughts in my case |

Haha, I'm pretty good at daydream |

I don't think there is. Dreams are imagination, so how can anything else but imagination influence them? |
|
Another important factor in all this is your intent while falling asleep. The stronger you focus on a subject as you fall asleep, the more likely it'll show up that night. Compound this with giving it your attention during the day and dream incubation comes well within reach. |

Intention! Put all of your intention into dreaming about X. |
