      dreams about getting chased.

ive noticed something kind of wierd, many times in dreams im being chased, but i rarely remember what was acctually chasing me (though i do sometimes). i may be forgeting, but i think i often run from nothing at all, just enjoying the fun of a good imaginary chase. anyone else with similar experiences?

      Yeah I got chased everytime,

Zombie, when he almost got me I turned around and I knifed him 10 times still didn't die.. so I run again
A milf because I said something about her son
Another woman, it was maybe a week ago but I read somewhere on DV that running backwards was faster so I did it in my dream lol
Police because I was hanging at school
      EDIT:
Oh yeah I stole a PS3 controller at a foodshop lol then I was outside and said stupid bastards so easy??
Then a woman was chasing me and I dropped the controller, lol.

Also when I runs it's verry slow.. but they never catch me

No, I have very few chasing dreams. This seems a phenomenon I don't happen to experience.

I remember a while ago I was being chased. I think it was the cops. I was running down the docks in hope to escape from the police and jump onto a big boat. I thought I was so fast that they would never catch up to me, but they became really fast, so I was a bit scared and started running. For some reason I really liked the feeling of them chasing me.

I don't understand how that could be enjoyable. Every time I have a dream where I'm being chased, it's really stressful and sometimes they catch up to me. I usually wake up at this point though.

I have noticed that I tend to get many chasing dreams whenever I'm stressed out because of school or work or whatever. And yea, I usualy don't see what is chasing me and as far as I can remember I have never got caught in any of these dreams

I get a hell of a lot of chasing dreams. I get the stressy feeling, but it's kind of exhilerating too. Unless you get caught, which has happened to me a few times. That's not so fun...

I got caught once. I jumped down a hole in the ground, into a dirty toilet cubicle. Scariest dream ever, sitting with the door locked, waiting for them to come down and catch you. Eventually he got me, dragged me away but I woke up.

Gaaaahhhh..... I don't usually have nightmares, but for me it was scary.

That sounds scary, just waiting for them to open the door. Whenever I feel so scared that I want to exit my dream, I just try to open my eyes really hard, even without thinking it's a dream. It wakes me up most of the times.

I do this too, but it was really a blur. I also got a really evil feeling in this dream, it's like it trapped me in it or something.

I think the person was on my side actually. As he grabbed me he shouted "What are you doing?!" and then took me away. Maybe before the others could get me.

Still scared the shit out of me...

      Hello!

A chasing dream could mean that one is avoiding a situation that they don't think is conquerable, and is often a metaphor for some form of an insecurity. Or alternatively just running from a primal urge or fear. In the opposite, if you are ever chasing someone else, you might be attempting to overcome difficult goals or tasks.

If ever you are running but cannot make your feet move as fast as you want may be a sign of lack of self-esteem and confidence. (This can also reflect actual state of REM sleep and SP while dreaming)

It all comes down to comparing your dreams to what is currently going on in your life, changes, feelings, interactions with others.

      Hope the run/chase stays fun...peace ☼

I hate when I get chased in dreams, because whatever is chasing me keeps catching up, even when I've got a really clever hiding spot. Also, half the time, my legs don't want to work properly, and I end up crawl-running on all-fours.

Oh I HATE it when you can never run fast enough. I tend to find it difficult to move in some of my lucids. It's so wierd and frustrating...

I have these being chased dreams when I am at a point in my life when I'm not feeling good about where some aspect of my life is going at that time and I'm worried that I need to change the direction. I never get caught, but if I get cornered and it looks like there's no way out, I will try to scream but usually cannot -- or I may actually cry out -- and wake up feeling terrified.

Whenever I've had chasing dreams they're not out of fear, I just have an instinct to run from something. I always felt like something was pulling me back, and I couldn't run upright because of it, I'd have to get on my hands and knees to claw my way along the ground. I haven't had one of those dreams for ages, I could have grown it out.

My guess would be that the issues you were trying to escape have been resolved in your life. I go through long stretches where I have no chasing dreams, but whenever the re-occur there is some sort of conflict I am having in my life.

Very good observations between your waking and dream life.... I truly think that a lot of the time our dreams are manifest from waking life situations and feelings, not always, but a lot, because it's a safe unbiased nonjudgmental environment where we can let things out in very constructive and creative ways
