This sounds similar to what happens to me when I go to bed after working for many hours the previous day on something like math or physics or comp programming, or have been playing some repetetive game like tetris, or when I'm sick, or sometimes when I have a hangover. Being obsessed with one thought, unable to sleep, very black and white analytical dreams in which I obsess and am stressed over trying to solve some problem which I can't seem to convince myself is nonexistent.

It's great to hear someone else has a similar experience to mine. It's quite reasonable that you dream about numbers when you're having a mostly analytical life studying maths and such.. but I'm studying graphic design, when I had the dream I was preparing a history exam...
Anyhow, it's a great explanation, and I'm eager to read what others have to say about my dream.

Okay, here's what I got...

Number 4 denotes stability, physical limitations, hard labor and earthly things, as in the four corners of the earth. Also stands for materialistic matters. You get things done.
Number 3 signifies life, vitality, inner strength, completion, imagination, creativity, energy, and self-exploration. It stands for trilogy as in the past, present and future or father, mother and child.
Number 6 is indicative of cooperation, balance, tranquility, perfection, warmth, union, marriage, family and love. Your mental, emotional and spiritual states are in harmony. Also stands for domestic bliss.

In general, in dreams numbers can symbolize material gains and possessions. May mean that you need to pace yourself in some situation, you may need to calm down and take things a little slower.
