That when your in a dream you pretty much know whats gonna happen before it happens, if that makes sense?
As soon as you think it, your mind creates it in the dreamscape because of those thoughts. Or something.
Sometimes, yes. But other times, no. My subconscious hides some things from me until they happen, I guess, whether what's going to happen is planned from the beginning or is made up on the spot. For example, last night in a dream I was running up stairs while people were opening a door at the bottom. I was trying to get to the top out of their sight before they opened the door and saw me. They ended up seeing me, but I don't think I knew they were going to before they did.
Interesting, do you remember if the door opened towards the inside or the outside? Also, the people that were trying to see you, did you know them or were they strangers? ....just curious, I'm trying to gain more info on "door dreams".
~ Have an awesome day...or night. Peace ☼
I was in my old house and it was the front door, which opened toward the inside. I knew they were about to open the door because I saw them through the distorted glass window in the door at first. In the dream I seemed to know them and be expecting them. In real life, one was a woman who resembles my cousin I rarely see, but wasn't exactly her. The other was her husband who didn't resemble anyone I know in real life.
(Last time I checked I had 998 points, so I think this post is going to get me a green dot finally!)
Okay, so being in an old house. A house represents you own soul and self, specific rooms inside a house indicate certain parts of your psyche, but that's a whole other discussion. Since you say this was your old house represents your old or past beliefs, attitudes and how you used to think or feel. To dream of this represents a situation in the current life that may be bringing about "old" ways of thinking or feeling. Also, the old house may symbolize needing to update or change your way of thinking. (I only wanted to touch on that since you said it was your old house, and homes are very significant in dreams)
Now, the door. One that opens to the inside denotes a desire for inner exploration and self-discovery, whereas opening outward means your need to be more accessible to others. If you are seeing open doors in the dream it represents receptiveness and willingness to accept new ideas/concepts (which could go along with the mention of the house)
For the people, seeing some you may know resembles possible qualities/feelings of them that you desire for yourself. (Consider certain aspects or qualities of your cousin's personality)
To see some you do not know symbolizes needing to confront hidden aspects about yourself. More specifically, if you know and feel in your dream that they are strangers, this means a part of yourself is repressed and hidden. (Depending on how involved you are with the stranger may prove the archetypal dream helper trying to offer insight and advice...this actually happened to me last night)
Thanks for sharing with me, awesome!...and glad I could help, hopefully you got the green dot! lol

Sometimes I do, like it's a movie. I will think, "Oh, and then this happens," and it does. I never notice it while in the dream though lol.
