Love in Dreams Vs love in reality?

This is probably pointless. Just thought I'd bring up an interesting point.

I've had a few dreams in the past, where I've felt such strong love for someone! In dreams I've just, I can't even describe the love I feel towards the men I loved in my dreams. It's the strongest and most beautiful feeling i've ever excperiences. Nothing sexual involved, just pure feeling and love. I'd cry if I had to leave his side. I wanted him to hold me all day. To just look at him. He was amazing.

Is this even possible in real life?
I have a boyfriend. I love him to bits. I seriously do. But i've never felt a connection with him (or anyone) the way I see the guys in my dreams. The love i feel in real life isn't a fraction of what the dreams are.

I keep thinking.. am I just wishful thinking that I'll EVER experience what I feel in my dreams? Is it possible to actually feel love like you do in dreams? Or do I just stop thinking about that, because real life love could never be as amazing as in my dreams?

I know exactly what you mean. PURE love for someone you don't even know. Maybe it's because in dream, we have a better connection with our emotions... So love results in PURE love.
I don't know if that makes sense.

Most emotions are stronger in dreams than in waking life. We seem to feel anger, love, joy and sadness on a much purer and deeper level in dreams. Possibly because the logical mind is hampered while dreaming.

I think it is possible to feel an intensity of emotion towards someone that approaches what one feels in dreams. I have felt it during those first few weeks of starting a new relationship. However, feeling like you want to cry when you leave someone's side and like you want them to hold you all day long doesn't work in a long term relationship, in my opinion. That's where you get into harmful codependent relationships. It is important to retain a sense of yourself as an individual even when you are deeply in love with somebody.

Hmm yeah that definitily makes sense.
When I said cry to leave there side, I dont mean in a real relationship I'd take that litterally, I just mean it would be a feeling

I would guess its possible, I have personally never experienced that in a dream then again i am pretty emotionless in dreams (might be because of my autism) I guess if you can experience it in real life you can experience it in the dream world.

If you're experiencing this you're lucky.

I get painfully emotional over the silliest things in dreams. I still feel like crying whenever I remember a little creature I tamed to be a pet in an old dream. I loved him so much.

How many different children I had in my dreams...
I will never see them again.
Fortunately, when I wake up, I have my own kids hugging me.

I had a dream where i was with a girl that i felt some what of a love feeling but i didn't catch her face at all. It started out with like quick flash back off dates and places with her but i didn't reconize any of the places and every time it was about to show her face it changed places. Then it went to a wedding but i was running late and i got trapped in the elevator. Then I woke up there. When i woke up i felt in love with a girl that i don't really know but I think she likes me cause she is allways shy around me. i just need help knowing what the dream ment and if the girl in the dream is the girl i don't really know, and if it is possable to see the girls face in the dream. Thanks

In dreams, you seem to fall in love faster than in real life (and get over it faster ). I think emotions in dreams are stronger like Perlinfalcon said. I do believe it's possible to feel that deep connection in real life, it just takes a lot longer.

I think if you ever feel that intense pure love for someone in your dream, your meeting a part of your own soul or someone that is deeply rooted to your existence.

All relationships are bound to fail unless you meet that other part of yourself at the right point in your life. Relationships fail if both participants still have much self work to do and energy battles start happening. Or if you or the other is not recognizing the things that need to be.

It is possible to feel that love, just very rare. you have to be able to feel it for yourself first. if there is any part of you that doubts the person your with is who you will continue to be with, then you will not end up with that person. Because you already know. Its all about listening to the heart.

i believe we love and feel more toward some things in our dreams because in our dreams, there are no pasts and there are no future, it is in dream that people can just live in the moment without any worries,

i dont know for sure, but i'm pretty sure that's why. In dreams, there are elements or factors usually exist in real life but don't in dreams, which makes dream a good place to be in.

for the same reason i believe nightmares are sometimes scarier than if the same thing happens in real life.

I think you will find your pure love one day.The love which makes heart connection.yet it is your dream but one day it will become your destiny .
So never be sad, keep dreaming and try to achieve your dreams. Some time they are very near to us but we don't try.

I have this a lot. I'm constantly having dreams where I'll meet some great girl, we'll hit it off very quickly and things flash forward into us being completely and totally in crazy rapturous love, and then I wake up with a sore heart for someone who doesn't even exist. It's a weird feeling, and always tends to be fairly disappointing. I've experienced that level of love in real life, but only in that narcotic honeymoon phase Perlinfalcon described. That always fades, though, and what's left I usually find myself bored of. Not sure yet if that's a problem with my own expectations or the girls I'm actually dating, but I doubt it could ever be QUITE as intense as the dream love. I sometimes suspect the dream flings I have are indicative of my unrealistically romantic views of love, but I digress...

I have yet to experience this. The only romance I come across in my dreams is being attacked, the male hesitating as our faces are accidently close, and kissing me (sometimes deeply... >.>). I usually wake up quickly afterwards.

I haven't experienced real love but in my dreams its like there is an egg longing to hatch but what is experienced is impossible in reality. It's a vision of someone that is unable to fight you yet thanks to fear they are able to disappear from me. In my world there is no marriage or purpose for it just a passionate feeling beyond description.

You feel stronger love in your dreams, because the people you love in your dreams are your own subconscious feelings of it.

I've had dreams like this ever since I was little, and it's always the same girl. I instantly recognize her in my dreams, but when I wake up I forget her face, every time. I used to call her my dream angel.
