      Question Dream Talk

so i recently had my second lucid dream and found that i would talk to get things to do what i wanted... but what i am wondering is if me talking would carry over to the concious world and be what is better know as sleep talking, can lucid dreaming increase sleep talking because my family doesnt believe in anything like lucid dreaming or anything that they have been taught otherwise and would question why i talk so much... they tried to destroy my dream journal its safely hidden now

      Well, I don't quite know.

And why are your family so dead-set against you lucid dreaming?

Talking should not carry over into the real world. Traditionally, it does not.

Don't stress about your family. Dreams are one thing that nobody can ever take from you. It is one of the few areas of life where you can do whatever the heck you want, and nobody will ever know unless you tell them.

I couldn't help but worry the same thing at times It should be fine, since you'll still be in SP.

Sorry to hear that your family isn't very accepting of lucid dreaming. I never really understood why people would object to it if they actually understood what it was. My mother was a little worried when I first mentioned WILDing by saying that I was going to try paralyzing myself, but once I explained what I meant, she didn't mind. Does your family understand that lucid dreaming is simply realizing that you're in a dream, and lots of people do it naturally?

That's weird. You should direct them to this site and some articles about it so they can see how it works. I'm sure they would want to try it too if they understood that it was possible.

You should be fine Even if you did talk, it would be mostly mumbling. I used to talk in my sleep all the time.

I thought about getting a REM dreamer several years ago when I was first interested in lucid dreaming, but never bothered in the end because it's pretty expensive. I'm not sure how effective it actually is, so I just started practicing reality checks instead, and looking into a few techniques.

Were your first two lucid dreams spaced pretty far apart, or did you have one shortly after the other? Some people can do it easily, so you might not need to spend the money on the REM dreamer anyway.

meh they were like 3 weeks to a month apart but i think the idea of how it works seems plossible because at the moment im trying to couple dild with wbtb to improve my chances and its hard i mean doing this since like april or whenever and having only 2 makes it hard to think it will happen alot, the rem dreamer seems like a neat tool its just so expensive lol

Sounds like your LDs are getting more frequent though, so you're on your way there. It can be pretty slow

If you decide to get the REM dreamer, let me know if it works for you.

I do talk, shout and cry a lot in my dreams but it hardly ever carried over. The only thing that occurs regularly is teeth grinding.

My brother used to grind his teeth in his sleep a lot too. I think he had to get something from the dentist to prevent it, but I don't remember if he ever actually stopped doing it.
