Have you guys ever experienced that when you are about to sleep, you all of the sudden feel like you are falling?
It usualy happens to me. Do anyone know why this happens?

When it happens to me it's usually because, I trip in a dream when i'm half asleep or I fall off something. If your not dreaming it's probably because your setting into SP. but, when your half asleep it's because, your not fully SP'd.
Well I regularily experienced that in school. It ususally happens when I feel asleep when I actually don't want to at all. Like in school.
A mental falling effect? That's the produce of a trance state, but it doesn't sound like that's what you were intending to happen. In any case, it's some kind of change in brainwave frequency. Nothing to worry about. :)
It's called a hypnagogic jerk. Usually they're very quick "daydreams" that occur right when you're on the brink of falling asleep, and are usually accompanied by a sudden fall-and-hit-the-ground sensation. People who have a poor sleeping schedule or don't get enough sleep can get them more often, so rest up!
