      DILD or DEILD?

      DILD or DEILD?

I don't know if this dream is a DEILD or a DILD. If anyone could help me out and see which type of dream this is, that would be great.

This is it, I was having a normal dream I was at the beach there was a lot of people there waiting to swim. Some of my friends were there then there was someone who said go and everyone started running into the water. The beach looked like a carribean beach it was shallow and went out far. We were all running into the beach but I couldnt get my shirt off. But I kept going until we were about neck deep then I started struggling to get it off. I couldnt get it off so I sank to the bottom feeling weightless until I hit the bottom. Then everything went black. Then I start to realize that was a dream. But I was still asleep so I decided to wait. Then all of a sudden there was these flashes of imagery. And then there was a sound It was like turbulance. It freak me out. Then all of a sudden I see this room in front of me. And on this table in the room there was a Mcdonald Happy Meal. I reached for the cheeseburger but I didnt want to eat it. When I was looking on the dream it was black and white. As I reach for the cheeseburger It was like a jumped into the dream. Everything was really vivid. I remember the room perfectly. I go the door and look at it. I decide not to go just yet and just to check out the room. Then the dream start to fade(Well I thought, but It wasnt) so I start rubbing my hands together. Then the dream really starts to fade. Then I woke up.

Well I can't tell from that description if it was a DEILD or a DILD, because you didn't mention the factors that would determine that.

A DILD means you were having a normal dream and suddenly became lucid within the dream - a DEILD means you woke up from a dream, remained in bed with your eyes closed without moving, and fell immediately back to sleep and back into the dream (or into another one) but now you're lucid. It's basically a WILD with a very shortened WBTB.

Well I didn't actually wake up from the dream, what happen was that first dream ended and everything went black for awhile, then it was like I saw a picture of the second dream in front me. Then I jumped into the dream through the picture, but I was already fully lucid when I entered the second dream, so I don't think it was a DILD because I didn't suddenly become lucid, I entered the second dream already lucid. So maybe its not DEILD or DILD.....I really have no idea. I mean it could be a WILD with a shortened WBTB like you said....its kinda of tricky to classify
