Remembrance in dreams?
Here lately I've been noticing this quite often, and I wonder if any of you have too? Do you ever get into a dream and notice a familiar place, but when you wake up you have no recollection of ever even seeing that place before? Such as in a dream, you will find a room and you'll think "Wow, I haven't been to this place in a few years" But when you wake up, you haven't even seen the place before, let alone went to it.
The same goes for processes and tasks. Such as if you are doing something that requires step by step procedures. You've never even attempted the task in the waking life, but in the certain dream you might know it by heart?
Has this every happened to anybody else? Has anyone else noticed this? If you have I'd love to hear some examples :)

Yeah, sometimes I get strange deja vu sensations in dreams. I recall this notable dream where I was in a mall running from some bad guys, and even though I wasn't necessarily lucid, I thought, "I've dreamed this before... Last time I got caught when I tried to run, so maybe I'll hide behind a couch instead". I did this and the bad guys ran right past me, not noticing my presence at all. Of course, when I woke up I realized that I'd never actually been there before. I did have a strong sense of remembrance though, and I knew exactly where everything was in the mall.

I have experiences like this every once in a while but not often. However, a while back I had a dream in which I remember a previous dream which I did not remember upon waking up. It's a little hard to explain but my mind pretty much created a memory of a previous dream I had never had. Maybe this is extreme deception? lol

I've noticed my dreams sometimes take place in the same environment as a previous dream, such as a house or a shopping mall that doesn't exist in waking life. Occasionally as I'm falling asleep I'll remember a dream that I had seemingly months ago, or at least a long time previous that I'd forgotten until that moment. I'll just get a vision of some place that I only know from my particular dreamscape.

I have had reoccuring dreams of two differant temples and a cave that had multiple families living in it. One of the temples was very distinct. It was cut into a cliff side and you had to climb about 15 feet to get to the ledge. The ledge had a couple pillers and a set of double doors. Behind the doors was a chamber with a statue. The dreams also showed the location of the temple as always being on the north side of a large green valley. That temple appeared in maybe 20 dreams over the years. I suspect it may have been some kind of past life thing.

i've definitely had this before. it's like my dream self has a past and memory of it's own. And sometimes it intertwines with my life in real life too!

I kind of get this, at the moment with places not sure but in terms of knowing how to do stuff yeah, at times I've had dreams that I'm driving a car really well, so when I woke up I gave it ago bare in mind I cannot drive and I didint know how to drive in waking life, that goes for other stuff aswell
Actually while I was typing it there have been places that in my dreams I know the place like the back of my hand, but as I wake up I think "never been there"

Yeah, all the time. I'll think "oh, x lives here" while walking past a house or something like that. I seem to know so much more in my dreams, though I question the reliability of it all.
