Odd feeling before falling asleep?

Last night, as I was falling asleep, I got this weird tingling sensation in my hands and feet. As this feeling persisted, my bed started to feel like it was shaking and rocking, and after this feeling went on for a couple of minutes, my foot sort of jerked and hit the bed, and the sensation went away. This feeling happened again as I started falling asleep the second time, only this time I actually did manage to fall asleep. Does anyone know what this was? I've never experienced anything like this before, so I thought I'd ask.

Most likely sleep paralysis. I find it to feel quite nice, theres no need to be scared of it :cheeky:.

So it might've been sleep paralysis then? I can't recall whether I was able to move or not though. I can only remember my foot jerking after a few minutes of it.
I wasn't scared of it, though. It actually did feel kind of relaxing. I was just curious as to what it was. :cheeky:

Persnally I can never fully get into SP and thats when I start twitching. When in SP you its really like your locked up so im guessing you were just falling into it.

Huh. Okay :) Thank you! If it was sleep paralysis, now I sort of know what it's like (since as far as I can remember, I've never had SP before, or at least not noticeably).
