Reverse Dream Psycology
I have been doing RC's asking "Am I dreaming?" for sometime and have experienced few results. I have given much thought to this and created a hypothosis to possibly address my problem.
Hypothosis:
During waking life the subject asks "Am I dreaming?" and concludes "No, I am not dreaming". Because dreams are mostly made of 'day residue', this carries over to the subconcious mind and the dreamworld. Therefore, when the subject is dreaming they ask, "Am I dreaming?" and subconciously conclude, "No, I am not dreaming". This results in no lucidity or an almost lucid dream.
Now, if we change the wording of this question to, "Am I awake" and conclude "Yes, I am awake" this should carry over to the dreamworld so when we are dreaming we will ask, "Am I awake" and conclude "Yes". Now that we have concluded we are awake we proceed as though we really were awake. At some point we should notice something very strange about this 'waking' life and be joltted into lucidity.

Your theory makes sense to me, I reckon you can try it.
Although I usually go with thoughts about getting lucid dreams or just lucid dreaming itself before sleeping. I used to tell myself to realise I'm dreaming during my WBTB too.

That question can go the same way as the other. Your subconscious will automatically assume you are awake because you need to be awake to ask the question. Or do you? If there's only one thing I've learned about Lucid Dreams, its that your subconscious will fuck you every chance you let it. You need to program yourself to question your reality and not just accept what you are being shown.

That's because you're asking the wrong question. There is a single question you ask to achieve lucidity 100% of the time wherever you are. It's "How did I get here?" Doesn't matter if it was past the 3 headed hydra, eventually you're going to reach a point where you no longer know how you got there. Now, in our waking lives we can always trace back, hence if you can't trace back you must be dreaming. In fact most of the time when you think back past the 3 headed hydra you also remember that you're in your bed right now.
