Are dreams by their nature just as vivid as real life?
This is a theory I have had for some time now.
When we dream most people are normally very unconscious and only passively observe the events (in other words, a Normal Dream), and when we wake up the dreams will usually appear very vague and blurry.
But I am wondering, could it be possible that our experience during the dream is just as detailed and vivid as waking life, just that we don't remember it very well when we wake up?
This would explain why your dreams gradually become more and more vivid when you keep a Dream Journal - maybe they are always that vivid, but it's easier to remember them for what they actually were like if you make an effort to remember them?
