I think my dream/sleep schedule is off

Forgive the informality of the title, but I've been hard at work doing whatever I can to further increase my recall (Including not trying too hard), but its only gotten worse. I only remember one fragment at the very end of my sleep, but it seems as though that should be the first dream I have in the night. The way my sleep schedule currently goes is go to sleep at 12, fall asleep by 1, hopefully, and I wake up at around 8/9 but then I go back to bed for an hour and wake up having one short dream. Does anyone have advice they could give me (besides just going to bed earlier, I get that) on fixing my schedule?

Well , my advice is not to go to bed until you really want to sleep , it shouldn't go by : my sleeping time is due , I should try to get some sleep .
Also , try to know which times of the day give you the best comfort when you sleep in and which times you need to be awake in , for example : some people like to write poems and stuff late at night and they get really upset if they don't stay up to 2 or 3 in the morning . Others love to see the sunset so they sleep early . You should know what suits you best regarding your sleeping hours and get yourself used to it , which is a very important part , but don't worry , your body will help you in this . Our bodies are designed to follow the sleeping schedule you set for , as long as it's healthy and doesn't interfere -on a wide scale- with our sleeping cycles . Try to stay awake no matter what , when you don't want to sleep . Don't let your body beat on you that and it will become a habit .

      Hope I've helped
