      A lucid journey

      Hello all,

I'm going to try and be brief about his, but wanted to share what I'm doing with everyone, and reading a few of the posts by the newer members here I think this could be of some help, or at the very least help them think more about lucid dreaming, because it's one more thing to read.

I have started a blog. I'm sure I'm note first person to do this, in fact I'm certain there must be others out there. But this blog follows my dreams from a complete novice, with only a couple of lucky, largely unrecognised lucids under my belt. It is basically my dream journal put online with all my learning and experiences that come with trying to attain lucidity.

I started my very first dream journal last January and wrote down every dream I could for a whole year, documenting my progress and successes. There are many dull points I'm sure, with vast tracks of dreams not even relating to lucidity, but that is all part of the process isn't it. In the first year of really trying for a complete novice at lucid dreaming, I think it turned out pretty well.

Is isn't a blog to show off how good I am at getting lucid, this was more of an inspiration thing for beginners (and pros as well I guess), showing that with persistence and practice it can be done, however irregularly. As i said its not a lucid dream every night, not even close in fact, but it is real and unadulterated, my complete journey. I pretty much wanted to start this to help beginners like me to not get downheartened when reading all about other peoples lucid expirences and wondering why they can't achieve as easily as people seem to say.

I love these forums, and think they are fantastic with brilliant people always ready and keen to give help, and I wouldn't have taken the first small steps that I have thus far without dreamviews and it's members. But sometimes being bombarded with so many people's successes, while inspiring definately, but at times I found it a little off putting that every post included a success when I wasn't getting any. It makes sense, so many members are going to get lucid regularly as a collective, but we don't hear about the failures of the expireienced members and it can seem almost unattainable for a novice.
Thats what I wanted to do with my blog. To make the entire journey of one dreamer available, not just the highlights and successes, but the bad times as well.

I hope this is allowed, the adding of outside links, as I think it could be really helpful, as I have said. If its not that's fine and I apologise for the hassle. The same going for if it's not posted in the right section and needs to be moved. Thanks.

Here is the link for the blog, it's not the best looking blog, but it serves it's function.

That's a great idea! I feel like this will definitely help beginners, as they will be able to read as you started (like them) to becoming able to have lucid dreams. Inspiration at it's best, I'll have to take a look! Good luck!
