Maybe. Or it could be a recurring dream character. DCs can give a surprising amount of insight. It might even be your dream guide. If you're still in contact, you could ask her if she dreams the same, though that might get awkward if you blurt it out apropos of nothing.
Ok, I used the word "recurring" which shouldn't have been in the post in the first place. I was really vague with my question...... About 16 years ago I met this person through my best friend. I felt a really strong connection with this person and we haven't even had a conversation. In fact, I was so intimidated and didn't know why I felt this way. I became really close to their whole entire family but that one person. It took me about 10 years to have a conversation with them. Anyway, we ended up living in the same house, when this person wasn't home one night (I was reallllly hammered), I called their cell totally drunk (not like me at all) and left a message which totally distroyed everything.
Anyway, back to dreams,.........For 16 years this person has been in my dreams. We seem to connect so well and have nothing but great philosophical conversations and talk about meaningful stuff to each other.
Is it possible, they are meeting in my dream and dreaming the same thing???
This all sounds f'd up but I feel like we are meant to be connected in one way or the other..................Please give me some insight
The only way for you to find out is to contact the person and ask if he/she has been dreaming about you. Although that could be an awkward conversation if the answer is no.
Personally, I don't believe in shared dreams (but I would love to be proven wrong). I would assume that you made a strong connection with this persons and the combination of this and the guilt you feel about ruining the relationship has left a long term impression on your subconscious. This leads to the person showing up as a DC in your dreams.
Many of my childhood friends, who I haven't seen in over 20 years, show up in my dreams often.
Finally a response! No way I have the courage to contact that person. The dreams started a decade before the mess took place and still appearing every now and again. While we were talking, I never did get the chance to ask about dreams.
Reason I did ask about shared dreaming because I did experience it once and that other person was overseas. We discussed about our dream and it happened to be the exact same experience.
Anyway, thanks for your insight, I really appreciate it, it's been eating me up with this thought of shared dreaming with that person for years.
